Who is the best Bottom half team of top 5 leagues in Europe

Going by table last year, Nominees for each league would be:

BPL: Stoke
La Liga: Malaga
Serie A: Cagliari
Bundesliga: Schalke
Ligue 1: Montpelleier



and please, don't turn it into a THIS TEAM HAS BETTER PLAYERS ,so they are better.

that's now how football works...it's a team football, and it's the unit that counts

you cannot consider Malaga as a bottom half team anymore. Not with their roster. A final placement below the top 6 would surprise the hell out of me.

Believe me it's hard to get results away in Europe, when you have likes of Salif Diao, Matthew Upson, and Ronnie Whelan starting.

and in most of those games, Stoke have had less possession that opposition, and probably 2-3 shots on target all game at best.

to be honest, my favourite Stoke player is Ricardo Fuller.

He goes on some mazy runs when he is in form, you'd think he is Messi. Not a hoofball player at all

Schalke get CL qualification every now and then. Really, they're a top 5 team in Germany. Not really fair to compare them to the others, but we know how crazy the Bundesliga table can seem and how erratic teams perform.

I still think Schalke or a top half Bundesliga team..
