they're spurs, they'd probably lose with their first team anyway...

They are going to be playing Liverpool in a few days so they are resting their big players.
Don't really think they're going to win that match though.

Arry is a first class *bleep*, theres not a chance in hell he'll get a top 4 spot so just play properly in the EL.

If you cant play in 2 competition, why bother at all.

I see they're going the Italian route.
That's sad.
We can now officially declare Fullham > Spurs.

Re: Tottenham's Squad for today's EL game
It's a bit shameful from Harry Redknapp. He's got a taste of the Champions League and even briefly for the BPL title race last season and now he doesn't want to get back to any lower level competition, treating Europa League like trash.
Tottenham are not a side that can finish in top-4 in the Premier League year-in year-out so Harry really should try and do his best in the Europa League - and this is far from it. Disappointing.
ps. Put a tenner on PAOK's win, I hope this hasn't jinxed it

What is the point of the Europa league when teams like the Spuds disrespect it like this. That team they chose tonight is taking the piss.

True.
Sure there would be loads of EPL clubs for example Newcastle who would love to be playing in the Europa League.

Much ado about nothing really.
Spurs are doing what is good for them really. Its not exactly different from what united did yesterday. But i dont see anyone claiming how United disrespected CL.Do they?
Just like how Fergie did what is best for United yesterday Redknapp is doing what is good for Spurs.

I think Harry is taking it too far, plus Man United can make some changes and still put out a strong team. This what Spurs are offering... on paper it looks like a joke.

United nearly put out a 2nd choice XI just like Spurs are doing. So not really too far from what United did. They both did with the same intention and there is nothing wrong with that.
The quality of Spurs team and United putting out arent comparable yes but then neither are the opposition they are playing.

That's not even 2nd choice 11.
It's more like there 3rd 11 with a few 1st 11 players added.

7 starters that played the CL final last season, mate. It's just that we have awesome squad depth.
That spurs squad is practically their reserves.

Re: Tottenham's Squad for today's EL game
THat is a pretty good squad. Tottnham is the most mismanaged side in the PL. There is enough creativity and firepower in that squad , and Gomes is a good keeper if he is focused. I am not sure about the defense tho. I can see this going either way to the Spurs. I can understand why Arry is resting this players. Lets face it EL is not really important- esp when you will be facing your direct rival for that 4th spot. And like us, they have some serious catching to do .
....... Alright enough with defending Spors, makes me feel all sick lol

What the hell are Spurs objective this season?
I mean honestly, what do they think they can achieve this season?

Well they ain't getting CL football this season. (And for many to come)
They might aswell do something in the EL and go for a domestic cup. (Carling Cup)
Trying to punch above your weight without the talent or the funds to sustain such a push will just destroy the club.
Trying really hard to be the next Leeds.
