Don't know so can't say. All I know is he's the best footballer I have ever seen. Followed closely by Laudrup, Scholes, Baggio, Zidane, Messi etc

How are you gonna compare this?
The physics of the game has changed alot. You need to weigh in factors like if he was playin nowadays he would be far more athletic then he was back then etc. It was a whole nother game when you're comparing it.

Here are a number of reasons why he would be the best footballer; given that he gets the same conditioning modern footballers get:

1- Free Kicks genius, we saw him train Argentina.
2- Personality, the arrogance and leadership he lead Napoli and Arrnetina back then would still be useful now.
3- He can use both legs, shoot from any side of the pitch.
4- Brain, Maradona was not a striker, he was a playmaker.
5- Dribbling and strength, Diego was kinds chubby, but that did not stop his amazing acceleration and it actually gave him strength.
6- Strong mentality, Diego never cared what the media said about him, his performance was not affected by outer stress.

That is my 2 cents, take from it what you will.

He was under pressure in the 80's, he would of had a mental breakdown with the pressure of modern media etc... He would have a great skill set but I don't know how he would cope with the constant scrutiny and no cocaine... Razz
