Didn't have anything on there other than my name so it's fine, and a free system going down isn't that much of an issue, after all I'm very happy I get the service for free.

P.S. Things are usually free or cheap for a reason, e.g., I only paid 20 bucks for these jeans from Old Navy. Several months down the line, it all started to make sense.

Got completely outplayed by Tetra earlier today. That really doesn't happen too often in FIFA.

Looks like I have to change the playing style I used in 11. Fakes/cutbacks are totally ineffective in this game and the close control dribble thing (R2 + L2) is absolutely useless as well.

Can't do my signature stop-start the ball move in the wide areas either and that R2 + down-up (heel to heel) move is pointless too.

Anyone know the most effective skill moves in this game? Oh and is there a special way of crossing in FIFA 12? It always seems to go out of play or go straight to the GK in this game.

EDIT: Btw, does anyone know why the hell EA made it far more easier to score past GK's in this game? Doesn't make any sense at all considering defending is much harder this time around. Lost count of the amount of times Cech has conceded a weak footed shot with hardly any power in it. They also seem to "fumble" more shots in this game too.

In this game more than any other FIFA I find that the players shoot with their weaker foot for no reason at all... REALLY FXCKING ANNOYING

Plus they take an hour to shoot the ball in the first place.. I hope there is a patch that improves the responsiveness ffs

It all comes down to your opponent this year.

Some of those moves you talk about are still very effective for me, totally ripped some people to shreds today.

Fakes and cutbacks are based on your opponent, make sure they're running at a good speed before you decide to cut. You actually mixed me up quite a bit with your skill moves earlier.

I have mixed feelings about the keepers this year, when I first started to play I found them to be easy to beat. Over the last two days, I have felt that the keepers are quite ridiculous (De Gea was insane today against me)

The fumbling of the ball has become annoying because I always tend to be on the wrong end of those goals. Not saying I want to be scoring them and yes my keepers seem to be trash compared to the ones I play against. 5-6 times today my keeper was beat first post with very weak shots.

I think skill moves are more effective this year. More times than not I'm using my skill to create time and or space for other players to make runs. I find that you really need to utilize all the skill moves. Take into account what the defender is giving you, try to sell him on one move and pull out another. You should be killing in these online matches, from what I saw your a talented dribble machine.

My crossing is set to semi. My tips would be to always double tap when looking to cross first post. I've noticed quite a bit of people online seem to have trouble crossing the ball in. I think it's key to not aim so close to the goal, try to think about the curve and everything before the cross (not sure if that helped), perhaps I could explain better (just let me know)

Last but not definitely not least, PATIENCE IS KEY IN THIS GAME!!!!

I don't score many goals every game, but I tend to keep a clean-sheet or only give up one cheesy goal per game. Cut down the passing lanes and allow the computer to press the ball. Try to only press with your attackers, you don't want to get caught with your defenders out of position. I can't tell you how many times I've been on the counter with the RB or LB nowhere to be seen.

P.S. RT+LT should only be used when looking to cut to your left and right, I don't find myself using it as much in Fifa 12. I think the fan is simple but effective or you can always just hold LT+ Right stick to the right or left (Essentially the same move)

Hmmm learnt a valuable lesson... Don't play when you're drunk lol... at least not online with your ultimate team...

@ THC: That sucks man... I had high hopes they'd fix that glitch. Its been the same for me since Fifa 2010. This is a huge problem right? Wtf is going on? Surely they're getting feedback.

Just had a game online against someone who was Dortmund......

I had 17 shots to his 3......

His goalkeeper made 14 saves and pretty much all of them were one on ones....

Luckily i won 2-0 but i swear Dortmund's GK must be 96 or summin

I was playing head to head and ended up tied 2-2.
First half I had 9 shots on target, four 1v1, and only 1 goal.
My opponent had 0 everything.


Come second half he crosses the ball and Messi jumps over Pepe for the header...wtf? then a volley with messi later.
and in the 78 minute I score a freekick with ronaldo.

Before shooting, make a quick turn to left or right or wherever you wanna shoot. Dont turn too much becouse you will miss your target then

Should I stay with Dortmund? Halfway through the season they were thinking about selling me (keep that in mind).

If that was real life i'd probably go to Lazio or Fulham ... but in the game i'd go to Austria

Anyway its nothing to do with the shooting as most people that played me will tell you iam somewhat of an expert finisher its what i rely on tbh......

It was just the goalkeeper in that game was making ridiculous saves i was hitting it hard and away from the goalkeeper and he was still saving it lol

It had nothing to do with my finishing it was just the goalkeeper was making Oliver Kahn look like Manuel Almunia

Just played 4 games procrastinating when I should be studying for my midterm. 2 draws and 2 win, should have been 4 wins.

started a Manager mode with PSG simply because they have a good size transfer budget and have a lot of players i don't care about that i can replace...began overhauling the squad in first transfer window


we are young and fast...gonna overhaul the defence after first season and add some depth too, we cruising in the league right now, but defence is sketch at times lol not very fast group of defenders

The adjustments they have done at great! Love the way how the players can talk to the coaches and transfers e.t.c. Played it at a friends house and it was great to play on the PS3 and X Box. Though I have some questions about Fifa 12 on Wii. It is exactly the same as last year but the scoreboard is different and there is a city centre apparently. I wish they can do all the adjustments on all consoles. Can anybody tell me is it worth buying it on the Wii and when is the release date?

Anyone else think the goals you score in FIFA 12 are just more awesome, more often than FIFA 11
