Transfer Signings???

I am sure all the fans are excited and bit anxious from the way we have performed plus how the likes of United and City and L.Pool have compared to us. Now the transfer market is shut but i feel abit let down by chelsea on the last day I was hoping for few signings most obviously Modric however i understand Levy did not want to sell ( well i hope he has a shit 4 months) so we can get him cheap or look elsewhere.

So we signed alot of young players which is great plus Mata and Lukaku look a great asset however disjointed with how we dealt with Benayoun. He looked decent in pre season and could have played in various positions plus AVB said himself we need more cover in Mid and in return we buy a decent player in Meireles however hes more a defensive asset i think we need wingers and a playmaker still why did we not get Arteta for 10 million n good wage or Bellamy or Palacios???

Well now just got to hope AVB gets a good system going and good football plus i want AVB buying players that come from nowhere but make a name for themselves and are not to expensive. We need to learn how to do good business in buying players always rely on big money moves which never work out aswell

how many??? we needed the players and our signings are great however we still have to many similar players in middle who can workout hard but cannot produce or score so we still need a playmaker and winger in future plus need to offload some players so get money in return

Meireles is not a defensive asset. He is a lampard type of midfielder. late runs in the box, etc

Yeah, Meireles isn't the playmaker we needed but he certainly was needed to a degree, More so than Modric was needed IMO.

I would have taken Luka over Raul anyday of the week but wouldn't have spent the money spuds was looking for though.

40m for Modric or 12m for Meireles?

Sorry but for financial sake I'm glad we didn't get Modric. 30m would have been reasonable.

Oh yeah without a doubt hence what said above, I thought £27M was reasonable for Luka myself tbh but oh well £30m + Alex we was crazy to offer they were crazier to decline, doesn't bother me though.

Its a blessing in disguise IMO, I hope McE takes this chance with both hands and performs really well.

McE would take any chance presented to him. Such is his ability. But like Gil said, whether Villas-Boas has the balls to pick him over the experienced internationals...
