Rooney, Chicharito, Tevez, Aguero, Džeko, Drogba, Suarez > RVP

He's one of the best strikers in the world, but he's not the best in the EPL. VP is a special player, excellent finisher and very good at holding up play coupled with a very good positional sense.

However Rooney and Tevez are better strikers and have proved themselves. Aguero, Suarez, Chicharito and Dzeko need another season or in Aguero's case a consistent season to say that they are better than RVP. Definitely have the potential to be but that remains to be seen this season.

Comparing Suarez and Van Persie is pointless.Suarez is better creative player and Van is more clinical in front of goal.

As long as Van Persie is fit i will take him any striker in PL he is as good as any striker when fit imo.of course opinions will vary some would prefer Rooney some would Drogba but that doesnt make him over rated just a matter of preference.

Van persie played as a RW for first two years. Then Wenger turned him into a SS behind Adebayor.

He became an out n out striker since 08/09 season. 53 goals and 30 assists in 97 appearances.


Also, Dont think anyone rates him outside PL. So don't know why you think he is over rated ?

i'm not discrediting him...just saying he's nothing more then a trigger man, i don't see his great play making abilities, he is usually the one who finishes it off....calling him as complete a player as the likes of Rooney, Tevez, Suarez is ridiculous...i don't think i've ever seen Van Persie pick the ball up in the midfield and start dribbling and running at and taking players on one on one and get to the box...that just isn't in his game where it is for the other players mentioned...aka the ability to create something outta nothing

Van Perise has big talent and he is great player but injuries slowed him down he will need time to regain his form ffs

The speciality about van persy is his flair,he some times scores a goal out of nothing,he scores when you least expect him to score.

3rd best striker in EPL after suarez and aguero.
