Ahem, he got 15 day injury on berlu cup, that expires on 5th, Italy games are on 7th and 11th, he could have invited him if he wanted to. Last time he wasn't injured and he didn't invite him.....

He wouldnt have been able to train with the squad and I Highly doubt prandelli would pick an injured playerCroInter wrote:pasquale22 wrote:I was wondering where is Matri to man but he's injured

But hey prandelli loves gilardino that much he probably still would've picked Gila over matatatatri . We all know Matri is a better player though

Matri would never be in the lineup ahead of Balotelli. Prandelli is building his team around Cassano and Balotelli, that's what he said last year and he is keeping his promise.
Matri's only chance to play on the national team is to get picked ahead of Gilardino. Right now Gilardino and Pazzo are the poachers in the 4-3-1-2 that Prandelli plays. Pazzo is ahead of Matri as a poacher, so Matri would have to be picked ahead of Gila to make the team.
Matri has had one very good year. I need to see more of him this year before he is deemed to be a regular Italian national team player. I think he should definitely be picked before Gila, so maybe his injury has something to do with it, or perhaps Prandelli favours Gila because of his Fiorentina connection.

Gilardino is the joke on that list, not Balotelli.
Looks like a good team

I'm not expecting a lot out of this group for Euro 2012 because I think that good national teams go through cycles and Italy is still in between cycles. However, I expect this group to be amazing in Brazil in 2014.

I agree with this. Lippi screwed everything up, yeah the guy in your avatar, lol..
Lippi should have played the young guys at the 2010 WC. We regressed because of it. Not that it would have made a difference in the result, as I don't believe we had a shot at the WC last year anyway. But at the very least the young guys could have gained some experience and playing time togetheer to get ready for Euro 2012. Now the young guys are just learning how to play together so it is going to take awhile to develop that chemistry.
I hope Italy has a good Euro 2012, but I am not expecting them to win it. But hopefully by 2014 WC in Brazil, we can become a powerhouse...

juve gigi i differ with you again bro, MATRTRTRTRTRTRII has had a few good years, he just was in a small team. If he gets to have a good year he will surely replace gilardino

He scored 6 goals for Cagliari in 2007 and 6 goals in 2008, so I wouldn't classify those as good years. In 2009 he scored 13 goals so he did have one good year and then last year he had one very good year. So 2 good years in total playing for a small club.

Come on, Gigi, don't hate on the Lippi avatar. He's a pimp in that photo. (I totally agree with everything you said.)
