Mourinho destroying an entire nation's football? That's rich coming from the very same guy whose teammates consist of divers and whiners - some who actually play for the Spanish national team.
I suppose he's also a little bit scared about the prospects to come. Madrid are closer to Barcelona in many aspects now and have begun to wreck their most efficient weapon - possession football.

Winning for Barcelona is never enough. For three years they have been taunting Madrid every chance they got with. Just look at how they celebrated their goals and the trophy. Doing the can-can? Really? LOL
The 5-0 poster on their buses? Constant comments degrading not just us but other teams as well that don't let them have their way.
We have our faults but if Barcelona is going to knock on the devil's door long enough someone is going to answer eventually.

If that is what you call a dive, then be by it. We clearly have different views of the situation.omarish wrote:jiopsi wrote:There is nothing wrong with overstating the obvious foul when somone is trying to hurt you. I'm still a Madrid fan, and most of all I'm not blind, there might have been a touch but don't tell me Messi isn't trying to milk the best of it
Don't try to justify a dive, it was a slight touch that didn't even get him off balance nor really hurt him, he could have survived without falling and then holding his knee, where he wasn't even hit.
Once again, he was just milking the hell of the situation.

Alright, tell me what it was then. Becouse clearly the touch wasn't enough to make him lose balance, I think we all can agree pretty much that, right?

Re: It's All THEIR Fault! (El Clasico edition)
I already told my view of it. If someone is trying to kick you in out of play situation, succeeding, with intention, you don't have to be called a diver also. That is rather pathetic in my point of view.omarish wrote:jiopsi wrote:If that is what you call a dive, then be by it. Agreed. If he wanted to break Cesc's legs he could've done it easily otherwise.andiii wrote:i can't believe how many people are whining about the taclke
am i the only one who things it's not very bad? when you scissor someones legs like marcelo did all it does is make them fall down. it's nothing like a leg breaker or injury type tackle. he just got frustrated and followed through with his other leg. probably because he knew the most would happen is cesc falling over
Nonetheless it's an obvious red.

Higuain's performance was useless in that brawl. He grabbed Pinto by the neck instead of taking a pair of scissors and fixed Pinto's f'ugly ponytail.deezydeez wrote:ronaldo wasnt involved either, too far away to even be in the frame.. does he want to leave too?
it was embarrassing that it came to a brawl like that.. it was really only the younger players that had much involvement in it. and pinto.
Or just grab him by the ponytail and swing him around like a b*tch.

Ronaldo was crap in the game yesterday. He had eons of space against Alves and wasted it all. He had so many opportunities where he should have made a through ball but took the selfish path (quelle surprise).
He has to realize that he can't dribble past players like Messi.

Being a neutral party I can say these two games were awesome. Been a while since I've had this much fun watching Real vs Barcelona. My friends say the same.
We have no idea what Piqué is talking about.

I don't think the fans disagree, on a pure footballing level, it was sex. Pure sex. But we could just do without the exhausting mass brawls and thuggery, and yes the simulating and everything else non-footballing stuff. For neutrals those are ofcourse good entertainment, but for the fans, I don't think so.SaintJoe wrote:Being a neutral party I can say these two games were awesome. Mourinho, a manager, ruining Spanish football? I would have thought he would have said something about unbalanced tv deals or the lack of management skills of any sort from the LFP. Or the constant racist chants towards players of a certain skin complexion but yes, a manager who's basically a smart ass and a troll is ruining Spanish football.

Why would messi dive, a player who is known to stay on his feet, there when there was a great opportunity to counter attack?

H.A. wrote:rsinatra wrote:dnmac4 wrote:I said something earlier in the week in a thread that I will admit was a Madrid flame thread, but the part I believe holds true is that Madrid has lowered it's standards since Mourinho got there.
I too used to respect the institution of Madrid but with the way there players are told to play, and the fact that in the last three games after losses Mourinho has hit a Barca coach while his back was turned (total coward, a couple hundred years ago there would be a draw to the death for that act of cowardice) and told the press and the whole world that there was an ongoing conspiracy against Madrid between UEFA and Barca.
I mean if it were anyone else making a fool out of themselves like that I don't believe Madrid would stand for it.
Madrid is or I guess used to be a classy institution but now I don't know what they are.
I mean how embarassed must there upper management be that there coach wont even conduct interviews anymore, it's pathetic and they don't need to stand for it.
you do know that r. madrid benefited a lot from the Franco regime, right? I have no respect for a club like that. It's in the past alright, but it's not like they've always been saints. Anything or anyone who has supported any sort of dictatorship is in my black book.
If you have the time I would like you to read two great great articles, I do not expect you to side with real madrid but I expect you to gain a new perspective. Actually I would like anyone who wants to kill some time to read them.
The first one talks about the history of our club, Real Madrid. It talks about the myths people believe in which includes something about the Franco Regime. I hope you like it:
http://real.theoffside.com/editorialopinion/whiter-than-you-think-a-history-lesson.html
The second one talks about the history of the clasico, another great piece which also talks about Franco.:
http://real.theoffside.com/editorialopinion/a-brief-history-of-el-clasico-aka-the-greatest-football-rivalry.html
I hope you like them and really do hope it helps change your opinion about us
Well, the thing is, that is a Real Madrid website, or at least a Real Madrid section, written by a Real Madrid. I'd find it easier to digest if it was a neutral point of view.

Questioned on the incident with Vilanova, the Madrid coach said he did not know who ‘Pito’ – which means penis and was a deliberate mispronunciation of Tito – was, and claimed he had been unaware his 'victim' had been Barca’s assistant coach. For a man motivated to the extreme by his attention to detail, however, such a story is impossible to believe. It is also a stunt he has pulled before. During his time at Inter, Mourinho became locked in an explosive war of words with Catania director Pietro Lo Monaco. 'The Special One' infamously sniped: "I do not know who he is. With the name Monaco I have heard of Bayern Monaco (Munich) and the Monaco GP, the Tibetan Monaco (Monk), and the Principality of Monaco."
Quizzed later by a radio reporter on whether his actions could set a bad example to players such as Marcelo and Pepe, Mourinho glared at the young female with an intimidating and icy stare, asked her to repeat the question and proceeded to mock her with quickfire questions: “Who me?” “My players?” “Tito Vilanova?” "What?" It was mean and malicious, spiteful, savage and simply cruel. The question, after all, had been a valid one - and it deserved a proper answer.
