Juve take interest in Ramirez

Juventus have joined the long list of clubs who are admirers of Gaston Ramirez of Bologna.

According to reports on Monday, boss Antonio Conte has asked his club regarding the chances of signing the Uruguayan.

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta is thus now considering an offer for the youngster who is valued at around €10m.

Marotta is pondering his next move, especially as there are a number of Juve players who the Rossoblu are interested in.

The Stadio Dall’Ara side are keen on midfielders Sergio Almiron and Albin Ekdal, as well as defender Fredrik Sorsensen.

Roma, Udinese, Fiorentina and Inter have also been paired with the 20-year-old Bologna sensation this summer.

I read this earlier on another Juve fan site but from what i've heard this guy is class and he is young too ( 20 yrs ) and when Bologna wants Almiron and Ekdal i am pretty sure that we can have easy deal with Bologna about this guy.

Another mediocre player...

He isnt..Cmon he is only 20 yrs old ..how can you brand him as a mediocre player when he is barely played a whole season in Serie A..

He is primarily a trequartista and i watched him in a few games especially against Inter and he seems to have a good passing range and a decent left foot and he comes across as an old fashioned playmaker..He has got potential no doubt..

The next best thing after Lodeiro for uruguay no doubt..

Can he play on the left side? I'm seeing a mix of articles stating that he's an attacking midfielder to a left side attacking midfielder.

From what I saw last year, Gaston is primarily a Left-sided attacking midfielder... Perfect for the left side of a 4-2-4. He also has the ability to play on the right. He can also play further back in a more traditional LM/RM slot as well as up higher in a LF/RF slot, and can even play a second striker role. He's left-footed, fast, has a good dribble.

His age is an asset and he has Serie A experience. The price is good too. If he isn't picked up this season, I'm sure he'll go for at least €20m next year.

I also hear a lot of talk about "Juve Quality" and how Gaston does not meet this... If Gaston was a 12 year old 6th grade Brazilian from the favelas of Rio, playing in Futebol de Salao with a price tag of €45m... many would be thrilled with the possibility. It's this preoccupation with the sexy choice of a Brazilian. I see it all over Italian media and on the peninsula. I guess Uruguay is not as shiny and sexy as Brazil.

If Juve isn't going to sign a LW that will start regularly, I'd rather it be a young player like this that they can develop and use in multiple positions.

Gaston is good , but he's far from a complete project. If i was you guys id save Lodeiro from Ajax . Much more talent, exceptional dribbler, quick mind, great passing, great shooting, fast, two footed team player, always makes the correct decision play anywher acorss the front except for striker, CAM and CM LM RM. The only things is he's been out of form since he broke is foot he needs matches

Mediocrity once again being linked to Juventus.

If not a worldclass player who is already established, at the very least a good prodigy like Hazard.

De Silvestro needs to play. Tons of teams play youngsters and the only way he will get good is if he is played right now. Pasquato is already 22 and needs to be a starter.

Yeah, you may want to leave because a world class signing probably isn't coming. It's going to be players we need at a price we can afford.
