Hes like the lebron james of the EPL, he couldn't stick around and try to win, so he left for a warm and sunny climate. Like others said, rafael captained united to more trophy's than cesc did arsenal.

It's sad that Premier League has lot 4 genuinely world class players to La Liga int the last 4 years in Alonso, Mascherano, Ronaldo and now Cesc.

Defiantly agree Sepi, almost embarrassing to compare the top 4 squads now to back a few years ago.

I disagree.

Pool is just as strong, and could be even stronger.

United are deff better.

Arsenal are strong.

City are a beast.

Chelsea is the only one I am not convinced on yet...

World Cup > Champions League.

International fame is what seperates the GOATs from the rest, as mentioned already.

teams like liverpool, arsenal, even chelsea and city have a lot to prove.

right now there is only the big one in england, and it's united.

The squads of PL teams of 08-09 season can't be compared to now.

Remember how English team coped in CL that season and Fever's infamous LET'S STUFF them thread when we got 3 Italian teams and Real Madrid in CL draw?

RECAP ON AGG:

Man United 2-0 Inter (dominating them both legs)
Chelsea 3-2 Juve (Never really in trouble of doubt)
Arsenal 1-1 Roma- won in penos (Arsenal should have had 4 in Emarites alone)
Liverpool 5-0 Real Madrid (do I need to explain? best performance I've ever seen from LFC team)

That's how dominant English teams were back then in Europe...Can't say the same now...Mascherano, Alonso, Ronaldo and Cesc are among world's top top players in their position,...All top 5 in their position and replacing them with adequate quality is very hard. and the prices that Cesc and Masch were sold for was nothing short of a disgrace

Fabregas is great, and one hell of a signing for Barcelona lol. But I think that he is just another player as he didn't really win anything important with Arsenal. Maybe he'll become a Barça legend instead.

CR7 Tevez Rooney
Scholes Carrick Fletcher
Evra Vidic Rio Neville

v

Rooney Welbeck
Young Anderson Carrick Nani
Evra Vidic Rio Rafael

Torres
Babel Gerrard Benayoun
Mascherano Alonso
Riise Carragher Agger Arbeloa

v

Carrol Suarez
Downing Adam Lucas Henderson
Enrique Agger Carragher Johnson

RVP Adebayor
Hleb Flamini Fabregas Rosicky
Clichy Gallas Toure Sanga

v

Gervinho Rosicky Walcott
Ramsey Song
Gibbs Verm Kosc Sanga

Malouda Drogba Cole
Lampard Makalele Essien
Cole Terry Carv Bosingwa

Not lost alot but players are older/declining

Take into account the fact that players like Carrick, Torres etc were genuinely excellent players then the decline of the PL has been absolutely criminal.

Totally agree with Bearflix:

I can only talk on behalf of my team...but Gerrard's form of 08-09 when Zidane called him the world's best was better than all the 15 midfielders at the club combined. United had Tevez and Berba on the bench very often....Arsenal had an amazing bench also....

The whole quality of the league has reduced and that's why there is more competition now and last year 80 points won the title

Yep clearly all significantly weaker now, also agree with Sepi's competitive point aswell.....

I doubt we could have kept the old Arsenal out as we did with the current Arsenal.

he filled arsenal fans with empty dreams that are now nothing more but regret and a blicker of hope slowly starting to get dimmer.

arsenal is going to face some weird shit in the in coming future just watch.

anyways fabregas was a "great" player for how he played for them, and for the hopes he produced.
