Arsenal reject €30m offer from Barcelona for captain Cesc Fabregas

Arsenal have reportedly turned down an offer of €30 million from Barcelona for captain Cesc Fabregas.

The 24-year-old midfielder has for long been linked with a move to the Catalan club, with reports of a potential move back to his homeland having been doing the rounds for a few seasons.

For his part, the World Cup winner has maintained that he would like to play for Barca at some point in his career, having left their youth set-up to switch allegiance to the Gunners back in 2003.

The president of the Spanish club, Sandro Rosell, has previously revealed that the maximum that they are going to offer would be €40m and that should the Gunners still be unwilling to sell their skipper for that price, then the potential move would not reach fruition this summer.

Now The Telegraph has claimed that the north London outfit have rejected an initial offer of €30m for the playmaker as another summer of uncertainty surrounding the future of the midfielder kicks into action.

Fabregas has already made 303 appearances for Arsenal since making his move to England.

Now Barcelona is just trolling Arsenal! I cannot see any other reason they would do this!

They bid more for Sanchez than for him. WTF are they joking?

WTF, 30 million? Maybe they don't want him anymore or something, and just keep up the jig to keep their fans happy?

Seriously guys. Can you remember when top players used to be sold for one or two million.

He is injury prone, hasnt played over 30 PL games since 07/08, that surely effects his value.

But yeah, im glad, this isnt enough for Arsenal and I dont think Rossell will go higher.

Barcelona are just trying to show the fans they tried, and Arsenal said a big NO.
If Barcelona really wanted to Cesc they would not have insulted Arsenal.

Becaus they know for Sure Fabregas will only go to Barca.

Nothing is for sure, by the time Cesc is a free agent he is a grown man, he could have a fall out with his Barcelona Boyfriends.

Why should Barcelona buy him if they think he is injury prone, it's not like Arsenal is in dire need of money and need to sell their players, I think Fabregas is worth at least 40 million plus 5 million as addons. He is young and has the potential to be an even greater player.

inflation m8 you know in the last 20 years my grandmas money invested into real estate would have lost its value by 400% had she not bought any properties.

I dont think Cesc really cares how much they are offering for him, but I think now he knows he will be at Arsenal for while. Its Arsenal Barcelona are insulting.

barcelona knows we wont sell cesc for anything less then 40m. Yet the idiotic offers.

Great news for Arsenal frankly. Cesc will know he's not that highly valued by Barca and will want to stay.

Rossell doesn't really want him, Pep does. Rossell is low balling on purpose cause he knows Wenger won't give him Cesc that way. In the proccess he keeps Pep happy for making him thinki he was actually trying to sign him

I would sell him if I was arsenal and barca offered 35-40. His heart isn't at arsenal anymore and he's playing bad. He basically handed CL 16 to barca with that stupid backheel.

He went from one of my favorite midfielders to one of my most hated with this saga. How you gonna be the captain of a team, sign a new long contract, and than say u wanna leave.
