International Friendlies
I know that Benz is with France NT until late tonight and Varane with the U-19 France squad until tomorrow night i think. Khedira and Ozil did not go to Germany for their friendly (why is that?). Who else?

Re: International Friendlies
Ozil and Khedira were not called up by Lowe because he felt they would need rest after coming back from China. Honestly Lowe has been fantastic in dealing with Ozil and Khedira (perhaps he doesn't want to burn any bridges )
Definitely going to check out Brazil v Germany.

Re: International Friendlies
Ozil is being a bit simple here as Gotze will start and is not that far behind him in general. Khedira should be careful too. There's just a lot of talent in Germany.

Re: International Friendlies
True but you could also see it as a sign that they are guaranteed places under Lowe.
Goetze is hot stuff atm but he's a couple of fries short of the happy meal that is Ozil IMO. Besides long term they'll both play in the starting 11 most probably.
As for Sami, people seem to get the idea that his place is never really safe but in the main factor is that Lowe (and Jose) are huge fans of him. His game is different to his competition so he'll always have a good chance of starting IMO. (Especially in a 4-2-3-1)

I watched Dormund's opening game last week and, wow, the kid is just dynamite. He was second behind Sahin as Bundesliga Player of the Year in 2010-2011 at the age of 18... he looks much better if that's possible. Just dynamic.
You also have Muller, Podolski, etc. If I'm Ozil (and Khedira), i'd be careful missing NT games. There's just a lot of talent there and even more coming up.

Nick, each time I see Schweini in 100% more, I'm so sad that he doesn't play for us... He'd kill Farca with our attackers

Re: International Friendlies
France-Chile 1-1... Benz played great, which was important because Chile is a very good team imo.
More importantly, Alexis Sanchez is going to be very, very tough. The guy is a technician, fast and passes the ball extremely well. He only had 2 days of training after the Copa America and before this match... and he was a handful in the second half. He will go at us against Marcelo's side. It will not be easy at all. He is much better than Pedro. He is class.

Re: International Friendlies
annoyed the benz did not score. noticing a trend: do well for club, do moderate for nt.
wut gives? besides the lack of a quality midfield?
