Re: Games that disappointed you?
Mass Effect 2-Bioware focusing too much on combat and not the actual story. ME2 despite having excellent character development was just one long ass side mission. The loyalty missions were very good, but pointless in the main purpose, stopping the Reaper threat. Most of the events of ME3 should have taken place in ME2 i.e.getting the different races to pledge to the cause. Because of this ME3 ended up having to do the work of 2 games, and it suffered for it.
Mass Effect 3- Improved on combat, which by todays standards is mediocore, and the story suffered once again. It doesn't help that it had to do the work of two games due to ME2's pointlessness, it did better then I expected it too. Don't get me started on Bioware adding Multiplayer where it doesn't belong.
Dragon Age II-Don't get me started

I think you were the one who recommended FF 5. I bought the game off PS store, but I haven't had the time to play through it, yet

Didn't even play ME3's multiplayer
That game will forever be a single-player only game.

Re: Games that disappointed you?
I tried the multiplayer, realised that it was Horde mode, never played it again. It was basically the exact same format as the Pinnacle Station DLC for Mass Effect 1. It really should not have been part of the game at all.
If Dragon Age III has any form of multiplayer expect all hell to break loose.

Crushing Disappointments:
Diablo III (As I've mentioned)
Mass Effect III
Heroes of Newerth (upon the departure of Icefrog)
Dragon Age II
Duke Nukem Forever
Final Fantasy XIII
Fable II
Fable III
Ruse
Slight Disappointments:
Starcraft II
Empire: Total War
Crysis II
Railroad Tycoon III
Modern Warfare 2
Neverwinter Nights 2 (Expansions made the game worth it though)
3 was still awesome and pretty much a road-less version of 2. Settlers 2 is the first game I ever got addicted to but 4 is meh. Lost its Lemmings factor.
