Is this from the Sun, by any chance? They have previous with things like these and where they get their figures from isn't clear.

I don't really pay much attention to them. At one point Sol Campbell, aged 35, was apparently the fastest player in the Premier League. You don't need to be an expert in stats to know that he isn't.

Laurent Koscielny is by far not the slowest players in our squad. That honour belonged to Denílson, and now probably goes to Squillaci.

It was from the mail back in April (before the S*n scum joined them a month ago....so credibility is still there Razz) I also think, they haven't sampled all of the players. Surely Friedel is slower than Albrighton, or VDS slower than Fabio ??

Just found it very strange.

Ah, it's possible. But then,it's not really an indicator of fitness, but an indicator of position. CM always run the most.

Nedum Onuoha is probably one if not the fastest players in the league.

He still holds national records for sprinting & tripple jumping.

Tbh Walcott isnt that fast, if he was in a 100m race, he might manage 20m, then he would get injured and need to be carried the rest of way on a stretcher.
