I asked this question out of curiosity as my experience with these type of pools is the winner is always the one who picks the winner, if there are several others with same pick for winner, that’s when, the other picks plus bonus points makes a difference. In this case, it such a small number of participants, the norms probably won’t apply!

Also i didn’t participate as I felt this year was so off normals, for both Europeans and South America bar Brasil and Argentina, that I expected lots of surprises and thus difficult to predict.

So I was curious how the 5 of you had dealt with the surprises plus if any of you would have predicted the winner.

So far only Neuro replied, but only on semis. His picks have only a chance if Argentina wins and that he picked them to win this WC!

Edit: I didn’t realize that the initial picks are on page 1. All of you except Firenze have have picked Argentina to win and he picked England (Lol). Basically that will mean, if they do win (which I highly doubt), the correct pick of other finalist should win, which is in favour of DoC. If it’s not Argentina, it still is in favour of DoC due to his selection of France to final. And if it is neither Argentina nor France, it could be any one of you, likely depending on success rate of daily picks. Interesting that neither DoC nor Firenze don’t appear to have participated in daily picks! That could change everything!

I don't watch as much football as i used to, it's basically Serie A and the few CL matches i can catch in this time zone. So when i predicted Argentina-Portugal final and France-Brazil for 3rd place, it was purely gut feeling after a quick glance at the rosters. My performance in the day-to-day game is a proof, if needed, that my football knowledge is eroding.
