So Madrid lost yesterday to Vallecano, from scoreline it seems like very entertaining match.
Any tips on how to beat Madrid in the knock out tie ?

Give benzema an injury and tie Modric up in a basement, be alert after 90th minute, abstain from sexual activities for a week prior to the kickoff, a day before the game repeat three times "hail bloody mary" before the bathroom window at midnight (howling at the moon is optional - depends on the overcast)

I just dont see how Real wont beat LFC with Vini vs TAA Unless Klopp figures something out which he seems to be doing changing so that someone or two are covering TAA or just have him sit back more instead of leaving huge spaces for Vini to play with.

Ok
Apart from playing Real before world cup and TAA staying in his position, rest of it seems possible.
If keeping TAA back was possible, Klopp would have done long back. But I see the clear picture now and i think Klopp will figure out something, thanks for the tips.

You do realize you are listening to advice from Barca fanatics on how to beat Madrid! Ask them how their team is making out!
I do think that you had the better team last season and it’s was the endless determination of Madrid that led to the loss for you.
This season thus far, we are better and you seem worse! But it will largely depend on what the squads are like post WC. I say we are better with development of Rodrygo, Valverde and more recently Asensio plus we have much depth. I think It’s likely we will see a different and more effective team from Kloop as season moves on.
Bottom line for me is, it should be a good and challenging matchup. I don’t think anyone can make suggestions that Kloop won’t be aware of. He is a great coach IMO.

It will depend on how far the players go in the WC tournament. I don't the temperature and weather conditions in Qatar. If that will also have some impact on physical health of the players.
We lost Mane but Liverpool's midfield has been one dimensional for few seasons under Klopp now. Just because the system was so fine tuned, it helped in filling all the cracks in forward/midfield/defence lines in Liverpool's games. It has been so easy to beat the press for any county teams against Liverpool. But Klopp has enough time to fix it before the CL game, usually he is good at making the most of what he has.

Bill will probably accuse me of being pessimistic here, but If Madrid plays against Pool like they have been playing lately in La Liga, then the Reds will easily win the tie.
If Madrid regains their form before the tie, then it's a different story.

I want a competitive game and may the better team win. I’m all for best vs best games aka, the concept of the super league!
As to how Madrid or Pool have played lately, it means shit! We know these are 2 well coached teams that will get there acts together before they meet.

Re: UCL Ro16 2022/23 | Liverpool - Real Madrid
Boring draw.
I will say the last 2 matches (0-0 draw at Anfield and the final), despite the results, were heavily dominated by Liverpool.
Congratulations to Madrid for having the better of Liverpool against Phillips-Kabak defensive partnership in your training ground leg - what an insult to CL knockout football that pitch was.
This particular tie, Madrid are the favorites due to Liverpool's non-existent midfield. Liverpool can't cope with any midfield right now let alone with a physically dominant one with the likes of Tchouameni/Valverde/Camavinga and the technicality of Modric/Kroos.
Unless Liverpool signs an actually capable midfielder in January, this tie is a wash. The match up is awful for us at the moment.

well, we can't let the great Santiago Bernabeu rot like your Anfield, that's why we played there back then. we're working on making Anfield look like a training ground.

Really amuses me how Klopp's Pool faced Madrid four times in four years and Liverpool fans have myriad of excuses for every single match
Didn't Real have more injuries than league points when they faced Pool in 2020? And Benzema had a legit goal disallowed by VAR this final. British media and pundits stayed quiet on that though.

The Assassination of Loris Karius by the Coward Sergio Ramos was a real thing though.

Camavinga has been shit so far. His body positioning when asking for the ball is so bad. He takes his first touch with ball rolls. His movements actually put Madrid CB's under more pressure. No wonder Carlo think he's better off as a LB.

Man this game is so fast paced. No wonder goalies makes so many school boy errors in the CL. The pace and tempo is off the charts.
