We are geniuses. We made it look as if we had trouble in the group stage to dupe the world into believing we won't even qualify, and then in the final round we bribed Shakhatr to draw Inter and finished off MGB in Madrid to top the group and have the easiest draw in the round of 16.

Stop crying, the only other teams they could have faced are Prto, Lazio and Leipzig. Only Leipzig would have been a harder match.

The difficulty of this tie depends on the implosion of Atalanta happening at the moment. If they don't sort it out Papu might not even be at the club for this tie.

Our team gets super complacent when they play a smaller clubs. Atalanta just doesn’t do it to get our old players to be excited and to be on their best behaviours. It’s gonna be a scrappy where the second game is a must win, Varane makes a mistake in the return leg and we go home like last year

Varane is on a tightrope, he can't keep getting away with these costly mistakes, a few more of these and he'll be shown the door. it's not like we can't find someone better than him in the market.

He needs to realize he's not a child anymore, how many years do Ramos have to babysit him?

The club of course, you know Flo is not very patient with under-performing players, also i recall he was asking for contract renewal and higher wages one year ago, well as things stands he's not making a great case for himself, i don't think the club would be opposed to letting him go in 2022 if he keeps playing like this.

Varane is fine you can’t go to the market and sign a clear cut better player than he is, who also partners Ramos well, for less than a 100 millions. Why waste your team, form has been a little low and it will go back up in time.

But Ramos is almost 35, what happens when he leaves or retire? do we expect Varane to lead our defense? i'm not looking forward to that day, with all due respect to our fellow french Madrid fans i do not see any leadership quality in Varane.

I don't understand why do you get so defensive about this, to me it's pretty clear we're screwed one way or another once Ramos leaves. we're too thin on defense unless Militao magically turns into a reliable first team player, we need to find a partner for Varane and no it doesn't have to be a overrated FIFA youngster.
