Fantastic game. Does this mean Valencia will qualify for Europa League now that Betis will already have EL qualification through La Liga?

It really was a great match though I dare say, Fekir and Iglesias should have won it for them.danyjr wrote:Congratulations to Betis and their squad of Madrid and Barça rejects doing better than those clubs

Genuinely happy for Betis and even more happy Valencia lost. I wonder if everyone watching thought Joaquin would have missed though?!.

Honestly don't see what some of you see in Frenkie de Fraud. At best he is a press-resistant DM, maybe a second grade box to box, nothing more.

Needless to say though, I didn't expect Barca to struggle creatively against Rayo. I really really did not...

Re: The Official LaLiga Thread

It'd be like Carlo subbing off Benzema when 0-1 down, makes absolutely no sense.

Koeman destroyed Barcelona from inside out, imploded the team so bad they were 12 points behind Madrid. Then Xavi came, reversed all the errors from Koeman, revolutionized the squad top to bottom and is now 15 points behind Madrid.

Quick stat: Xavi has lost his 7th game as a manager for Barcelona.

To close the gap Madrid would have to be losing points though, you do understand that? Since Xavi took over RM maybe had 1 or 2 loss and 2 draws in LaLiga or something like that.
So to close the distance we'd have to win EVERY SINGLE GAME since november (which rarely happens even with historic squads), our wins aren't worth 5 points my dude.
The fact that the gap did not widen means Xavi kept up pace with the champions. If we kept Koeman's point winning pace, we'd be out of top4

Re: The Official LaLiga Thread
Koeman was sacked at 1.42p per game this season. If he kept up similar pace we'd be at 10th in the league now
Koeman also had 2 windows to buy players, it's just that idiot coaches buy unfit/fraud players.

Re: The Official LaLiga Thread
Xavi is not the second coming of Guardiola, but he is far better suited to Barça than any coach in the world (bar Pep of course).
