Jesus makes it 2-1, should be 4-1 City. Still think Pool will get the match or at least a draw.

I realize Jota scored, and has scored a lot, but I don't like him over Firmino and I don't understand why Klopps starts him ahead of Firmino

He scores small amount of a goal that should be scored. Diaz should have started. Klopp messed it.

That first half was a tactical masterclass from City. They should be leading more than 2-1.

Salah and Mane have been quite poor. Trent too, suspect defensively. City are targeting him

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
rest of the league can only look on in envy and drool whenever these two matchup over the past few years...
i get reminded everytime how good City is/can be when Pep doesn't do anything dumb with the lineup and they actually go for it. Incredible, immaculate passing and movement, and pressing and chasing... one-two-three and they are in behind the opposition's defense and something can happen.
While Liverpool play beyond the press perhaps better than anyone in the league, and they have the best fullback partnership in the league, and they have the most efficient/clinical goalscoring trio upfront in the league.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
It’s impossible to build centrally against Liverpool since they swarm and overload the middle with 6 players in a 3-3 pressing shape.
Pep has accepted this and went 4-6 against them in the build up. Instead of playing out with worse technical players in his fullbacks he’s entrusted Laporte, Stones, Bernardo, and Rodri to do so who are playing on the same lines together. Those guys are responsible for getting the ball to the players on the outside.
Then he’s played his fastest forwards and has asked his fullbacks to make runs from deep. City has caught Liverpool’s high line again and again. The game could’ve been put away that half.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
It has been time Liverpool have not put consistent good performances. Liverpool playing shit can have the scoreline as 2-2, that gives me some hope for things to come when we will start playing good again in this season.

I'm not that familiar with him, but he had a lot of low IQ moments in this game.

Absolutely not. He's more deadly which is of course vital, but his passing is rather poor and his overall teamplay just worse, not to mention against the ball

The handful of times i've seen him, he's legitimately been shit. Yet, he on the charts for Pool.
Curious as to how he's displaced Firmino.

Liverpool could’ve been down to 10-9 men. How Thiago and Fabinho haven’t been sent off it surprising.

One team needs 10 chances to score 2 the other needs 4 chances to score 2.
