Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
I'll hold my judgement of Cancelo despite people going crazy for him here.
I can see exactly why Rincon wasn't a huge fan of him. A glorified winger playing in a system that exaggerates his strengths and masks his shortcomings.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
City are clearly winning the league. There isn't a contest anymore. Even when playing badly, they will get useful pens (like they did against Wolves) and their opponents will contrive to lose the plot.
Arsenal had it, but they lacked a clinical instinct, and it blew on their faces. Bernardo kicking the ball away at the end typifies this city team. Extremely dirty but can get away with it due to the advanced positions of their fouls, and their possession stats.

Wonder which City lackey had a word with the ref at half time. Suddenly, he's giving penalties for blatant dives and booking Arsenal players for breathing Telling how City's only yellows came in after the 90th minute, despite dishing out as many fouls as we did. Bent and corrupt.

City fishing for pens as usual.
I dare say that is expected of Silva. These guys are trained to fall given certain amount of contact in the box and Xhaka holding a player like Silva (or his ilk) shirt in the box is asking for real trouble (even if Silva was doing the same).
It didn't help that the ref was hell bent on annoying Gunner fans today.

Spurs get very lucky for 3 points there.
3 point swing in the race for fourth there from goals coming after the 90th minute. Tottenham two points behind with two games in hand feels much better than 5 points behind with two games in hand. Happy new year

Overall Pool are not playing well. Salah had some moments of brilliance. Chelsea deservedly equalize

Treble?
Man is going to play Bernardo Silva as a CB and Walker as a keeper somewhere in the CL, forget that.

What do ppl think of that clash between Mount n that Liverpool LB? Somewhat intentional it seemed n again not punish since hes an important England NT player?
What an another entertaining game of Liverpool though, they are fun to watch as usual, end to end stuff, high scoring n still missed so many chances

Still not sure. The VAR replay was a little weird and didnt clarify much. Personally I agree with the ref, I dont think there was enough contact although there seemed to be intent from Mount's side but again the replay panned away awkwardly and did not resolve much. I don't watch the Prem all that much these days, but I wouldnt be surprised if english nationals get more protection fromm refs/media than foreigners, that happens universally no?

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
It was a yellow card offense. Intentional body check on Tsimikas because he was frustrated they were playing well but found themselves 0-2 down.

Not a red. His foot was tangled in Tsimikas and was mostly trying to free himself. It was an aggressive move however, so it's a yellow for me.

we've been due a loss since Ragnick came in tbh, I don't think we really played well in any game since tbh
