Re: Calcio Saga 21/22
As a non-Juve fan, I think I can give an unbiased opinion on Cr's "legacy" at Juve.
If you judge his contributions purely by their imagined intent that he was brought in to win a Champions League, then that has obviously failed. However, I don't think that's ever a realistic title for a club overperforming their league's standards to put in as the only metric of success.
Simply put, I think Ronaldo was signed when Juve was going through an obvious downward trend, with a midfield that is weaker than their two CL finalist squads, and an aging spine. In that team, which kept getting weaker year after year, he scored 30+ goals a season.
Without him, I think they would have still won the league in hist first season. However, they would have lost it to Inter in his second, and wouldn't have even qualified for the CL in his third.
The strategy was always to build a brand around him, which was scuttled when the world ended, so in that sense, it was a failure of circumstances.
Long story short. I think it was a success from a sporting point of view, but a failure in terms of reaching its initial brand targets and justifying the overall fees involved (a failure from Juve board more than from CR's side, and COVID helped but was not the sole factor).
I think Juve would have been in a much better place ironically if the league was interesting and they didn't dominate for too long (which made them complacent in their squad building).

Ronaldo as player hasn't failed, he's scored 101 goals in 3 years and at the end he went at United for money . Despite salary , age and next year's free agent . It shows he's still an important player.
The failure is about the operation made by Juventus , essentially because Juve deteriorated from all points of view in these three years.

But surely they'll improve on a thing. clearly I talk about free kicks.
His contribution about it was terrible and they had even Pjanic for a year

Re: Calcio Saga 21/22
Juve was not on a downward spiral in summer 2018, it started after signing Ronaldo. We just needed a midfield revamp.
16-17: CL final
17-18: out in quarters against Real
Both times beaten by Ronaldo. So we buy him thinking he brings Champions League title automatically. Then the club is taking weird decisions, stuck with bad contracts, 3 managers in 3 seasons.
His legacy at Juve is the scudetto 19-20
It could have been more had we kept to the same standards as pre-Ronaldo instead we have lacked stability for the whole time he was here.

Yea it does sounds very strange considering Juve have been pretty much well managed for so long or so we thought, I guess luck is such a random factor at times and it came together with Covid, but even b4 that as u guys said a number of things could have been done better after signing CR to follow on with the quesr for CL glory.
Im not sure but the Sarri appointment was also a bit of a gamble in itself, which was also a factor...

The pace we are playing at
I wonder how long they can keep this up, such an intense start. This was the kind of pressing that Sarri kept trying to have.

Re: Calcio Saga 21/22
Ronaldo really carried this band of losers.
And had to carry Pirlo on top of that.
His Juve stint should cement his GOAT status tbh.

Mancuso, N.7 of Empoli , could make CR7-esque celebration now and becoming legend but he did not it, disappointed.

Very embarrassing display so far
Bombing crosses into the box with no real CF. I have no idea what Allegri is thinking.
This is gonna be a long season.

Locatelli very close.
Juve are fighting for a corner kick, they don't get it.
