Am I the only person who finds "Dance With the Devil" to be more sick than it is genius. I've tried getting into Immortal a few times, it's just never going to happen; his music gives me bad vibes.

Lol, I agree. I used to listen to IT years ago for a while(dont really anymore), and while I found that song good it's also pretty fvcked up. But it's meant to be impactful like that.

I'd like to know if the story is true. If I found out it wasn't, I would definitely feel he was a bit twisted. I first heard the song during high school and the build up was really good and I have respect for the song, it's just the mom part that gets me (I'm a mothers boy and not ashamed).

I think most of you know I enjoy that emotional music and artists who bring that passion to the track. I feel like I should listen to the track again, but I'm not really in the mood to fall into a deep depression.

I remember baking cookies with this girl and she end up tripping pretty hard (she decided it would be wise to eat two cookies). Before the actual trip she had put on some Immortal Technique and as the trip began, she really started to not feel good and once I threw on some Reggae things got a little less tense. Keep in mind this was the first time I was spending the night with this girl, thanks a lot, Immortal Mad

Anyway I don't think of it as much different from common rapping about rapes and murders etc.....I look at it as a first hand account instead of a generalization.Shit like this happens and literally everone raps about it.....it's just they don;t recount the story like this they make gross generalizations..

I'm not sure how I feel about you saying it's not much different than most rappers today. I don't listen to rap that has no substance, I have no interest in listening to fake stories about hustling and murder. If a rapper has really committed any of these crimes in the past, I highly doubt they would end up rapping about the actual event. I think "Dance With the Devil" is more artistic and is trying to tell a story and show you the consequences of your actions. It's just very deep and dark, but that's obviously what he was going for. Most rappers are just saying whatever they have to in order to sell a record.

P.S. When a girl is tripping, the last thing on my mind is getting with her. We had baked weed cookies, the idea was not to trip (my high was very nice up until she starting buggin')
