Ben Yedder leads Mbappe on top scorer by 2 now, amazing...
Cant help but notice Monaco's stadium looks pretty tiny for such a big club I thought? Sport prolly knows more about this? Monaco is a very small place I assume so they cant make the stadium big?

Monaco has a population of 40k. They are like a more prestigious Villarreal

Do you not know anything about Monaco? It’s total area is only 2 sq. Kms. It has a length of just over 3km and a width of 1km. The majority of that width is a steep mountain, almost cliff like. The amount of flat land to build a stadium is on the coast and very little.

Not to mention that actual Monégasque people are only a tiny % of the population, with the majority of people living in Monaco being wealthy foreigners who can't be arsed about Football.

No Messi and PSG created literally nothing, he's already their most important player. Mbappe is the most overrated player currently, shades of Cronaldo tbh, feeding from team brilliancy and hoarding all the credit. He will never carry any team.

After what we all saw in the CL, Harmonica's words just don't have that potency it would have had.

Mbappe has to leave PSG to succeed. With Messi and Neymar there he will never win anything as Messi strolls too much and offers 0 off the ball movement. Mbappe is having to play hero ball for PSG to win games.

Weird take on why PSG are failing but okay.jibers wrote:Mbappe has to leave PSG to succeed. With Messi and Neymar there he will never win anything as Messi strolls too much and offers 0 off the ball movement. Mbappe is having to play hero ball for PSG to win games.

Yea definitely. Getting a finished Messi was a bad decision for their project. Now he is too big to not play but also a liability when he does play.

Re: Ligue 1 20/21
I wouldn't get overly excited about this. Ligue 1 is over... the players have nothing to play for. Some of the players on PSG aren't very professional to begin with. Not imagine having no motivation.
Mbappe really laid into his teammates right after the game: "We have to respect the fans who support us, the people and our families. You have to respect yourself, your teammates and stay professional if you have a shred of respect for what you do."

Not too many Monaco fans actually go and the place is too gaudy and gentrified so not surprised the stadium doesn't get it's fill.BarcaLearning wrote:Ben Yedder leads Mbappe on top scorer by 2 now, amazing...

Its clear half those players were on holiday mood already, I imagine Neymar might be more focused on partying for the rest of the season especially... the rest prolly dont care much anymore than to just enjoy the rich live in Paris until pre-season etc.
About Monaco, I guessed it was small from air views from movies or something and are filled with rich ppl, but didnt know it is that small

Seriously, what is going on with Messi's goalscoring? Is he really going to finish the season with CB scoring stats?

3 goals in Ligue 1 and 8 total this season... I didn't expect him to score 40+. But I did expect at least 20.
His drop off is the most extreme I've seen without injury from a superstar ever.

Truly shocking really. I expected him to take the league by a storm.
I always see Barça fans giving Alex a hard time for being harsh on Messi, but the latter leaving Barça was a blessing in disguise for them.

Re: Ligue 1 20/21
Yup. Agreed DoC
I gave messi the benefit of the doubt big time and even defended him for the criticism he was getting for the RM game, which to this day I don’t think it was his fault at all. But man. He is declining.. fast. His speed is 100% gone, modric has more pace then him now lol. On top of that his low center of gravity and strength are all gone. Even his agility is gone. Right now, he’s relying on 100% technique.. but the game is different. You can’t do that anymore. And if you do, the end product better be there, but he’s simply too slow and old to set himself up to make the shot or pass.
For the record, Ronaldo is a fucking grandpa and looks unbelievably stiff, and his technique is just fucking terrible particularly his first touch, it’s being exposed and I honestly think his physicality covered a LOT in his prime years, I was completely wrong and he can never ever play CF, he’s too passive and his first touch is too loose.

Mbappe got more assists than Messi despite Messi assist padding with Mbappe’s finishing, while Mbappe has to create 6,988,887,998 chances to get an assist off a Messi finish

Re: Ligue 1 20/21
If you watched him towards the end of his Barca spell you would know the signs of him slowing down were clear and its even more evident if you play for a team of mercenaries without heritage, seems like he's only motivated for the NT now.
Its your fault for expecting a 34 year old to take anything by storm, he doesnt care for the club one bit.

The sort of salary he is making, PSG definitely expected more output. Way, way, way more.

Re: Ligue 1 20/21
The fact that Messi is declining rapidly and does not care anymore since joining PSG is under appreciated
They are wasting big money on him but ultimately the job is done. It's Mbappé's club, he makes him score, they win the league and not CL as expected. What's the problem lol

Re: Ligue 1 20/21
His decline has been faster than we all thought, think its just to think of him as more of a wide 10 nowadays then anything else, his main objective with Mbappe in the team is to provide him with chances. Interesting to see what happens next season though when Mbappe leaves n if Messi stays...
