Morata has looked solid so far in his appearances, and that finish was sublime

Verona has only conceded 1 goal this season. The chances we had at the end of the half needed to yield a goal, now it can become a really frustrating night.

He’s the definition of a confidence player playing where he’s most comfortable

I’m happy with the performance so far. Bernardeschi seems like the only player not redeemable no matter how much we want to see him have a good performance

Yep. A lot of goalscoring chances put too passive an approach to recover the ball in the middle. Juric set his team up better, it was clear as Verona players were usually positioned to take the second ball after every 50-50.

We are still too inconsistent. Against Kiev the game was under control for 90 minutes, tonight we had long gaps of concentration. I hope against Barca the team is focused as against Kiev.

Anyway expected this with a new coach and no preseason. Things will have to click very soon though, to avoid falling too far behind on the table.

Tonight in particular 3 players seemed to work against our play. Arthur and Bernardeschi. Bernardeschi looks nothing like his old self, having Chiesa there instead is a huge difference. Arthur looked lost with regards to his role. Pirlo already commented on it before, that it will take him time to adjust to a different style of play. Bentancur or even McKennie would be better to partner Rabiot on Wednesday.

At least some positives to take: Kulusevski is a top talent, Morata is proving me wrong every match, Rabiot continues with the great form, and even a rusty Dybala can be a beast for moments.

No no, they bottled these matches also last year ( lost Spal at home ).. They have these rare black outs during the year

Moreover Gasperini made too many changes for  this match, he's revolutionated lineup.  He apologized for it and he is the least humble man in the world. that's enough

I expect their machine will go fast as always.
Anyway they were wrong for the first time about something : new wings  ( potentially the two back ups for Hateboer and Gosens) are not good ( Piccinini, Depaoli .. Yes, the Gasperini system develop player ... but they are poor definitely . Showed also yesterday )
