Mbappe is objectively way superior than Benzema.

Since 2016-17 season, Mbappe has always produced more G+A than Benzema.

Benzema is capable scoring loads of goals against "small teams" like he's done in his whole career.

In this context Stats are not what is needed. We know what mbappe will bring. What is needed is mentality and responsibility. And in this aspect Benzema is superior. You fail to see the greater picture. As do most.

Benzema is not a Stat padder like his lesser peers. He's scores enough to settle the match. Or sometimes he just has a bad day. But otherwise it's undeniable he is not as prolific against small teams as he is in big games. But that's fine. I always preferred Big Game Benz anyways.

Pretty poor honestly, Lewandowski has seven straight season of 40+ goals in all comps in a row. Goes to show Benzema is a tier below as a striker.

I don't take a league that makes Jovic look like the second coming seriously. Their goals should be counted like the dutch league

If you league-adjust Lewa's goals to an actual non-bot league, it'd probably amount to 18-24 ~ goals per season.

You know what's cruel though? This is a WC year.

If Madrid crashes out of the CL and France doesn't win the WC, Benzema will have a very meagre claim with just La Liga (assuming we win it). And the Ballon d'Or, in that scenario, would likely go to whoever wins the WC because it carries more weight.

Benzema will have to win the league AND CL in order for him to have a very strong claim regardless of who wins the WC.

He has been the best performing player in 2022 and the most clutch of all, but Madrid mustn't let him down this time like they did last year.

BdO rules have supposedly changed to reflect only the season.
It should theoritically mean that voting is done BEFORE the WC.

But Benzema is the best of the best and he has won me over, well over a year now. He is so absurdly good in the UCL and arguably the best given how much Messloppy and CR stat-padded.

I like his hattricks and all but one of these days I would like to see him score the perfect Hat trick like he did in his 2nd season in Madrid. One with his right foot. The other with his left. And to finish off with a header goal. Showing his lethality knows no bounds.

Though I must admit it's funny as hell seeing gks just panic whenever Benz is nearby lately. Just what is he doing that these gks keep making these mishaps?

Lewandowski bandwagon needs to stop imo. Benz is head and shoulders above him and has been for last two seasons. Come at me @hans.
