ABC just said his daughters were with him. I read reports earlier that his family wasn't with him. No idea the validity. This would be devastating even further.

I'm following it on reddit and twitter and nothing is confirmed. There was a tweet that apparently was confirming that the family was safe but it just got deleted.

Feels strange... the suddenness of this event

As CBucks said who did not scream "Kobe !!" when shooting a paper ball in the trash can. He was the face of the NBA since i was born it seems. You see everything he has done in his life, you would never think he'd be gone like this :facepalm:

They (players who don’t feel like they can play) can take a game off then. If they can take a game off to rest or go to strip clubs they can take a game off to grieve. The pain of something like this doesn’t go away. They’ll have to play.

I don’t think cancelling would be in the right spirit at all. He didn’t want to take focus away from basketball at all. That’s why he didn’t want to be involved with Lakers in any capacity.

Huge loss for the basketball community and children who grew up inspired by him given his inhuman work-ethic to be the best where he was. But more so an obvious loss to his family along with his daughter as my thoughts go out to his family and all who followed him closely, growing up.

Too young and I wonder how LeBron feels right after surpassing his Top 3 point record.

I dont think you understand saying stuff like that.

This has nothing to do with load management or strip clubs. A guy whos was an icon died today with his daughter. An icon so close to us he wasnt even eligible to be in the hall of fame yet. Nobody wants to watch basketball tonight.

This is more than competition. He was bigger than the game here.
