Napoli did it too for Maradona if I am not wrong...but I see no sense in doing so.

Re: Ansu Fati
It's a good move I feel. Who else would we give it to?
I think many here are not old enough to remember when Messi got the no. 10 from Dinho. Messi was way more accomplished than Fati is today, but it was a leap of faith even at that time.
Remember, Messi in '08 couldn't be fit for 3 matches straight. Always rested every 3rd or so match.
And what happens if Fati flops? So what? I mean is the 10 some godly number now that we must worship it
I personally can't think of anyone in the squad who would be a better fit. Yes, that says a lot about the squad, but that's the reality we're in today.
Personally, I'm excited. Young guns, will be fun to watch. Will be frustrating at times, but I was honestly tired watching big money signings like Griezz, Coutinho etc. not working out. At least Masia boys give their

Re: Ansu Fati
I echo your sentiments. We have a young squad with some exciting players. Some like FDJ are WC already. Others like Pedri are on the way. Then we have Fati who was looking like a star before he got injured. And Gavi breaking through now. Its not all doom and gloom.

It could have gone to Coutinho lol
It wont be retired so if anyone should get it it's Ansu. There's no other option in the forward line

Re: Ansu Fati
Ansu is the ideal option in fact.
He will not be bothered by the pressure and is an incredible talent.

Ok. It just gives me vibes of Arsenal 2012, when Cesc Fabregas left and the expectations fell on a teenage Jack Wilshere who then promptly got injured for 15 months and the wheels fell off the football club.
Hope this doesn’t go like that but this young player has injury prone written all over him.

Re: Ansu Fati
He has tremendous potential, no doubt. When played, he looked like a killer in the final third. His decision-making was much better than Dembele and he has the same pace. I think this season will be key to know more about him.

Re: Ansu Fati
His return has been pushed again apparently. Shame what has happened to him. Such a promising talent only to get a debilitating knee injury. Hoping for the best but doesn't seem positive. He might be similar to Umtiti who is a shadow of his former self. Unreal bad luck that we have 2 players whose career has been upended like this.

Re: Ansu Fati
Ansu is already in full training for a while and they expect him to get first minutes in 2-3 weeks. Is that rushed/pushed?

Re: Ansu Fati
I do hope hes at least still as good as b4, or even better, will need to see how he progresses really... seems to good to be true tbh, if he really can turn into our new no.10... doubt it though

Re: Ansu Fati
Fingers crossed his knee holds and he does not become another Umtiti. He looked sharp though, great off the block, no signs of hesitation and we always knew he was a stone cold finisher.
With him in the 11, we are an altogether different team. All of a sudden an underwhelming forward line with just Memphis for quality becomes a top notch one.

That's my boy. Hasn't missed a beat.
His finishing intelligence is on another level and what it is, he has it.

Re: Ansu Fati
The celebration after that goal:D Is it because of returning from a long-time injury or for his first goal as no. 10. Hope he stays fit, I feel like he is a bit injury-prone.

What a goal from Ansu Fati, reminds me of Messi's trait of making play giving it to a player to collect it back and finish #FCBarcelona pic.twitter.com/FJEZdrewgF

Re: Ansu Fati
Incredible finish. Hit the ball with the laces so generates more power than the side foot, but still very accurate into the far corner.
You see the development in his game since his debut too, more involved in the pockets, playing passes behind for Alba and not just a player in the box or on the flank.

Re: Ansu Fati
If his knees hold, kid is going places.
Hopefully with us. Pedri has signed. Priority now has to be renwing Fati and Gavi. We have the best young core in all of Europe. If we manage to hold on to all of them, make a couple of smart signings, we are not far off from competing. We can be back at the top sooner rather than later.
