Son and Moura came on in the second half. They did mostly field a B-team.
Lamela was a sub too, although I wasn't going to point that mistake out since they ought to be winning with whoever they put out. Especially if those players come on as subs

Ndombele was a great acquisition for them, and they would've needed him regardless of whether or not they had gotten new forwards. It's just a shame he got injured so soon.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter I
I totally misread the Who Scored page for Spurs' line-up. My bad on that one.
I'm wondering if Spurs are having motivation problems this season. Realistically, they know they can't reach the same heights as last season. The CL final was a once in a decade kind of thing, and they're behind Liverpool and City in the title race. Pochettino has been there for a few years now, having managed the same group of players for most of that time, so his message might not be coming across as strongly as before. Key players like Eriksen are unwilling to commit to the project and are looking else where.
It feels like they're reaching the point of needing more than just two or three new faces in the squad.

Apparently Man City's under-21s beat Rochdale 2-0 earlier this month.
Quite the moment for that teenager to score at Old Trafford, tho.

I didn't watch the match, but I can imagine how the team played. I don't think your B-team is a massive drop down from your first team, to be honest Pogba may as well be on it, considering how rarely he showcases his supposed brilliance.

Given they were at old Trafford, that might be marginally more embarrassing than the Spurs result.
Ole surely must be off? This isn't Poch who reached a CL final and brought Spurs consistent European football, and one of their best periods of football ever...this is ole. Someone needs to take the wheel

I don't personally think they'd be doing themselves any favors by firing him already, and contrary to popular belief on here, that opinion has nothing to do with him being from the same country as me. It's going to take a miracle for a manager to elevate the productiveness of this team in the near future, and that seems to be what a lot of the fans expect. I can't imagine anything good coming out of firing him, unless there is someone out there who's not only capable of making this team competitive at the top of the league, but also willing to accept such an unthankful job/task.
Big changes need to be made, regardless of whether or not he's at the club.
That said, if they do fire him, I hope they hire someone who plays attractive football. I don't care about their results as much as I'm bored to death with their agonizingly boring brand of football in the post Ferguson era. They're not going to win anything with this team, anyway. Might as well provide some entertainment.

So the lower league teams all drew each other, and the PL teams all drew each other... except Burton and Leicester.
City get an easy game vs Southampton, while the other top six clubs all play each other.
I'd like to know the odds of a draw panning out this way.

I would have liked a mixed bag which would have been beneficial for the lower league clubs too. MKD had their biggest crowd against us.

The people who want him gone are doing so not because of the results. We were always destined to be going this route this season, thanks to the utter sabotage done by the incompetent clown called Woodward. Ole wanted a replacement for Lukaku. He said that. If he had to later come out and do a u-turn with the more opportunity for Greenwood crap, then that was because he is not a cnut like Mourinho and wanted to preserve the good will and spirit of the team before the new season.
But anyway getting to the point I was making, the reason supporters are displeased is because of the style or lack thereof. There’s no pattern of play under OGS. No coherence. His tactical instruction is basically it seems run more than the opponent and to go and express. In a league with some of the best coaches in the world who drill into their squads the best modern footballing philosophies, such simplistic way of play just won’t do. Initially it seemed there was something, but that now looking back it seems was just the players enjoying the honeymoon period rather than something tactical. Frank Lampard for Chelsea is displaying far more tactical nous than Solskjaer for us and I believe even he wont survive long there. So, yea the long and short of it is that, Ole will be gone soon cos apart from the fact that he is unfortunate to have inherited a pathetic team, he is also honestly kind of out of depth at this level sadly.

Arsene Wenger labels Man Utd "a dream job for any manager" and has ideas to transform them
Arsene Wenger has labelled Manchester United a "dream job" for any manager and says just four new signings would turn them back into world-beaters.
The legendary Arsenal boss was surprisingly complimentary about the Red Devils, who he was at loggerheads for most of his career managing in the Premier League.
He spoke passionately about the Old Trafford club, who are struggling under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, saying they are closer to glory than most people think.
"Manchester United is a dream job for any manager," Wenger told beIN Sports
At least, any manager with courage and confidence. Yes, they need – in my opinion – four first-team players. But around those players, I see a squad that is capable of challenging.
They aren't as far away as people think.
"The team have no pattern of play, no pattern of pressing. There is a team there, but it needs to be coached and developed. Like I said, four players and they can be challengers. For everything.
Like I said, Manchester United is a dream job. For any coach. I have confidence, I have courage… and you're right, I have ideas."

Fishing for the Man Utd job. Have to say he would do well there.

While appreciate his kind words, honestly personally don’t want any more old outdated managers. He could be an improvement over OGS but no, need to look at the long term. If we are even a bit serious about improving, we should go for a modern young coach-manager like Ten Hag or Nagelsmann or ofc Poch.

uhmmmm would my fellow Arsenal fans be okay if he goes there to manage them. I mean, it obviously his choice and he can do whatever he wants, but a big part of me would not like that at all.
