gonna watch the Squeeenix one live, Avengers should be interesting

I'm liking what I've seen from Final Fantasy, so far. It's so different from the original, though. Don't think I can mentally consider them the same game. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I want a FF7 with better graphics that's true to the original, as well

How can you tell? It was just another cinematic trailer - which is the keyword for this year's E3.

It looks ass, aesthetically, probably gameplayingly as well

I'm not a fan of Star Wars tbh and the game was a bit teenager-y IMHO.

I get the impression that companies are holding back on showing gameplay footage since next year will be a new generation. This year just seems to be about filling space until then. You can see why Sony decided to skip.

Microsoft this year and last year have been focusing on filling out the Xbox One library as much as possible in the hopes that enough people will be interested in Scarlett. It's mostly third party games, but they've probably realised it's too late to roll out a bunch of exclusives for this gen when they can make a bigger splash next year.

Bethesda are coming off the nightmare that was Fallout 76 and didn't have anything great to show off to mitigate that. Again, it's a case of their big new games (Elder Scrolls and that sci-fi game) being next gen and not having anything to show right now.

Ubisoft had one half-interesting looking game, but were saturated with gritty shooters that all looked the same.

Square Enix had the easy job of showing off FFVII remake footage and did just that. Whatever else they did is kind of irrelevant since that's all people really wanted to see.

Nintendo should be good. They aren't burdened by next gen since they're only part way in to the Switch's life cycle, so they should have plenty to show today.

It does feel that way yeah, it's becoming more and more apparent why Sony didn't show up at all.

BTW Sony announcing their console specs before hand was really smart, now what MS said had very little impact because Sony already mentioned most of the stuff like SSD etc etc.

Witcher 3 is actually going to Switch lmao.

A sequel to Breath of the Wild is in development.

Banjo Kazooie in smash is the real announcement here tbh.

They should treat it with the importance it deserves by putting a level for every Banjo Kazooie level instead of just Spiral Mountain.
