Looks great. But please don't tell me it has the same battle system as FF15...

It's so weird seeing it being remade. Specially with voice acting.

Ah good to see them using the KH combat system..

Not getting it.

If you wanna do a remake right, stick to the roots of the game, take a leaf from Capcom and RE2.

Apparently it has the same battle system as Crisis Core. That was actually good imo.

Man, somehow Aeris' design is still as beautiful as it was 20 years ago.

I wouldn't be surprised tbh, maybe do one about TLOU? the fact they aren't at E3 says they didn't have enough to justify a conference.

But what's stopping them doing a 20 minute update on a big game?

Definiety, last year we got a 20 min Ellie demo, they could show us a 20 min Joel demo this year+release

You know what really would be a bit different?

If the game is played from two different point of views in two completely different parts of the world. One from Ellie's end and one from Joel.

I'm still intrigued how their going to handle this tbh, we haven't seen anything but Ellie so far Laughing

Joel being NPC who helps you like Ellie in the first game would be weird as hell.

Online communities always prefer active battle systems rather than turn-based, seen so many people abhor turn-based combat. Yet i don't mind it, if done right, it can be very deep and methodical. It just seems less and less games these days go for it.

Yea they probably didn't even consider turn based.

But active battle system isn't bad if done right like you said. Crisi core had a good system which i hope they use. FF15 was a glorified press x to win which FF13 got shat on for.

Also i hope FF7 remake is as punishing as the original and not like ff15 where there was no such thing as game over.

Reading that the full reveal is in June, apparently supposed to come out late this year. That's for ep1 I guess.

I just remembered that PS5 will be backwards compatible. I suppose it makes sense, after all. I'm guessing you'll be able to play episode 1 on PS5. Would be incredibly odd if you couldn't.
