Re: Juventus summer 2019 special
I would argue that Aguero operates better is smaller spaces though and this matters because Guardiola is all about making the pitch smaller, shirt combinations and dribbling in closed space... This does not fit Cristiano at all.
The way that I see this viable is Pep threating CR like he did Muller at Bayern, playing with 3 at the back and giving him a free role down the middle where he can make runs to the box, and not much else...

He's not that great at it anymore tbh, Aguero dribbling and close control has diminished greatly over the years.
It doesn't really matter as he's improved in other ways but i disagree with your take tbh.

Maybe he wants to be known as the only coach who coached both Messi and Ronaldo
Highly unlikely he comes to Juve especially with our budget not anywhere like City's.

That team will get torn to shreds
Light-ass midfield and an ageing defense. A proper recipe for disaster.

Let's be honest if Pep comes hes going to make big changes lol, most of the team you have won't be there after a year or two.
It's not realistic to be posting teams with current players.

Exactly and I doubt we have the budget for that
Maybe in a couple of years time, after he's done with City, I could see this as a genuine possibility.

I have a feeling we'll do business with Inter this summer and possibly do that ridiculous Dybala - Icardi swap deal

If Allegri stays it makes sense to sell Dybala

Re: Juventus summer 2019 special
The best CB in the world starts for any manager
Anyway Allegri is staying. Things can always change but Allegri, Agnelli and Nedved all say that he is staying. Pretty useless to speculate otherwise at this point.
Preziosi confirmed we are after Romero and it seems like it will happen. Should be the second signing of the summer after Ramsey.
Rumors are heavy for Chiesa.
There's the noise again of Icardi since he basically can't stay at Inter and is benched again for Lautaro.

Best CB in Italy* or Best CB at Juventus**
Also, he'll so start if Pep was around. Pretty sure of it.

You are underestimating how good of a footballer Ronaldo is. He can easily play in Aguero's position and do even better. Probably on the wing as well. Aguero loses the ball loads and rarely beats a man off the dribble. He is more of a penalty box player now anyhow.
Pep's game at Man City is all about off the ball movement and runs into space. Look at mahrez for example. Big reason why he's not good enough for pep, and probably won't be is his poor movement. Not a problem with CR.

Can't imagine Pep having a problem using CR. He works crazy hard (for us at least) and has top movements. I'm sure Pep would make him score more than Max.

Re: Juventus summer 2019 special
It does not matter what he "can" do, it matters what he wants to do, and playing like Aguero is not how CR plays football.FennecFox7 wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:I would argue that Aguero operates better is smaller spaces though and this matters because Guardiola is all about making the pitch smaller, shirt combinations and dribbling in closed space... Aguero's quality is small spaces is more about his ability to generate space to shoot, he doesnt need to get past anyone, not like CR is any good at that nowadays.
Mahrez is just not good period, he is an average player.

Thing is if i look at the type of wingers Pep has historically gone for, CR isn't that; and we all know CR does not want to be the lone striker.
I simply said that i would imagine Pep adapting to the kind of player CR is, and to put him in a similar situation he put muller in at Bayern.

Re: Juventus summer 2019 special
All this talk about CR7 being compatible with Pep is irrelevant. Any coach that comes to Juve knows that he will have to work with Ronaldo, so, if Pep comes, then he believes that he can fit Ronaldo into his system.
As for Allegri staying, I'll believe it when he signs an extension, there's no way he goes into next season with only one year left. Last time we did that, it was with Lippi in '99 and it didn't work out too well. Also, Agnelli's and Nedved's words weren't that convincing: "he stays, but we'll have to talk" and "he has a contract, so he has to continue."
Maybe just a coincidence, maybe he knows more or maybe he just read the papers, but Allegri said yesterday that Bayern and City made a mistake in trying to ape Barca's style of playing, because teams have their own DNA. He also managed to anger a lot of Juventus fans by saying that Juventus has a different DNA than Milan. He was talking about playing styles, btw

Yep. Pep won't have a problem with how Ronaldo plays. Even if he does, he'll adapt and build a team where Ronaldo's strengths are best utilized.
Potential problem that could happen is he may not be a big fan of Ronaldo's ego. He works hard, always is the first one in training, is a model professional. But after a big loss if he pouts and puts a hissy fit, blames everyone but himself, will be interesting to see how Pep reacts. He came to Barca and immediately kicked out Dinho and Deco. He had problems with Yaya, Zlatan, Eto'o too. Guys with temperamental issues like Ronaldo.

Spinazzola can't be the only right footed fullback in history that can't play on the right. Surely he can work there.

Do we not have a right back that plays the position well enough already?
