I dont see anything to laugh about. It is just some people underestimated Ajax and probably some overestimated Juve. But mate Firenze was always right about Juve, from the group stages itself.

I had been watching the 2nd Leg on Sony/Ten. Both the commentators surprisingly predicted a win for Ajax. Many ppl saw it coming even though Juve comfortably defeated ATM at home for 3-0

I honestly didn't see it coming. I thought Juventus were going to end them with relative ease. Then again, I didn't know they had so many injuries and their coach is a choke artist.

Well, like I said in the other thread, it wasn't surprising, so the disappointment is only mild.

Also, it could be worse. You could tie the record for the most regular season wins in the history of the NHL and get swept in the first round by a team that has never won a playoff series before.

Lightning getting swept made me feel better after i had a shit evening

Not that i dislike them, but their fall was bigger than ours, we didn't took the biggest L of the day for what it's worth

But today i wake up and i don't even have enthusiasm for Juve's future, next summer we won't make any corrections to the squad, we'll pass on good prospects to buy the whole Ronaldo/Mendes clique, Max will be even more dogmatic in his ideas. Our season is over. The 6 games left have no purpose, at best we'll be carried by Ronaldo because it's the path chosen by the club.

I am just wondering, how Juve win domestic titles year after year. I mean against Ajax they did not like a team winning titles.

The only thing they ever get to celebrate every season is when Juve lose so mid-table teams fans can get to rejoice. More power to them I suppose.

Um, Arsenal had some FA Cup wins which @Unique would tell you is a very important British trophy and Madrid won 3 CLs in a row (4 in 5 years). We both have every right to laugh at your club.

Milan is your rival and has that divine right as a club to point and laugh but I agree, Bayern is incredibly irrelevant.

In all seriousness though, I undestand we deserve to be laughed at but lets all take one moment to appreciate how Dutch football is back from the dead.

From not qualifying for a shitty Euro tournament and the world cup to having a young generation of elite talents who are smashing top teams in Europe. This is the Dutch league for you which numpties like Frenzy regularly like to laugh about.

It's sad that Italian football hasn't been able to rejuvenate itself in  the same manner.

"Back from the dead" is a pretty strong statement though. Also "smashing top teams in Europe" is also an overstatement.

They certainly deserve credit for beating Juventus, but Madrid? We royally suck this year and beating us doesn't take much.

Ajax hasn't done more than Roma last year, and yet I don't hear anybody talking about Serie A being back from the dead. They need to beat the bald fraud or at least put up a fight against him to truly shine a light upon dutch football.

Also, and this is the sad part, they'll get ransacked this summer beyond recognition and go back to being irrelevant again, which is a shame really because they have a core of very talented youngsters (or should I say "had")

Ajax play in the Dutch League mate. They hadnt reached a semi in 20+ years.

This is a pretty special achievement.

They have outplayed Bayern, Juve and Madrid at their own home turf. It doesn't matter how bad the top teams were this year. It was pretty special from Ajax who two years ago couldn't string two passes against a crappy Man United side in the Europa league final, thoroughly outplay these teams.

people go on about winning the UCL like its the holy grail but its really not. yes i would love liverpool to win it but gone are the days when winning it meant you are the best team in europe. the seeded teams get a by in the group stage then 2 good draws and you near the final and anything can happen in a one off game.
