VivaStPauli wrote:But what if you don't get your minutes at your club, then? You're just fucked as your club can force you to sit on the bench for 3 years for the lulz?
There are circumstances that can allow for an exit like a player out with a major type injury keeping him out for a lengthy period like a season or 2. In that situation Its likely his release fee is dropped anyway. It's a commitment, it doesnt clash with any laws. U sign a contract, see off at least a good portion of that contract before any moves for an exit are made.
It's no different from the contract a player signs just in this case there is a move to make sure contracts are not just broken at the slightest whim. Also players r more careful when signing deals as they know they have to commit

Reduce the power of referees, their bias and corruption. Reduce Uefa power, their bias and corruption.
Introduce high referee (unlike the current who is there to collect money for the referee cartel) that actually controls referees and penalizes them from mistakes and obvious bias.

Barcelona still would blow a 3 goal lead to someone in the CL so it doesn't matter.

I'd make arguing the referee and automatic yellow... and diving an auto yellow that can be give retroactively (if they see it on tape later).
Stuff that stops the nonsense.

I think that happens in every league. The worst obviously being Spanish RFEF and referees against Catalonian teams.

Catalonian teams, lol, there are over 70 clubs in that region and the only "club" you care about is Lionel Messi. Also, that article is about cronyism and nepotism when it comes to the hiring of refs in Scotland and nothing to do with bias and corruption on the football field itself.

I like this. Referee crowding is extremely annoying and it happens on a pretty consistent basis. If we could do something to prevent it, it would be great.
Then you have diving, which is equally as annoying. They should both be severally punished.

Re: What rules would you change/introduce to make the game more exciting?
Don't be so narrow minded. If you start chosing referees based on something else than ability, it opens doors to all kind of corruption. That's why almost all refs in Spain are now Refdrid's pocket. Control the RFEF, choose the refs, who then are expected to return the favor. And the circle of corruption is complete.Doc wrote:Catalonian teams, lol, there are over 70 clubs in that region and the only "club" you care about is Lionel Messi. Sadly, the ref cartel, the corrupt RFEF that picks on all Catalonia teams, corrupt Argentine FA and UEFA are called controlled by Real Madrid and none of this would ever happen as our club are the main beneficiaries of such things.

Re: What rules would you change/introduce to make the game more exciting?
It's exactly why you were complete outlier in ease of opponents in CL (relation to ELO) and why you were bailed everytime by refs when you needed it. That's why you have 3 CL's and 2 Ligas the last decade. And exactly why referee's like Mateu Lahoz go unpunished game after game. Both feet have to be on the ground. (And both hands on the ball, but you never see anyone attempting one-handed throws anyway).
And ball needs to start from behind the head and be released before passing the 90 degrees.
and there mustn't be any obvious spin on the ball. I got into so much trouble for this in a few U/11 games i remember
so many bullshit rules for it tbh, only the both feet on the ground, both hands on the ball and start from behind the head should count.
And does anyone else also get irked by fullbacks making up 10 - 15 yards up the pitch before they throw in. Referees are very inconsistent on calling that

agree 100 percent. its also why messi missed his spot kick in the copa america final and why they got knocked out in the last world cup. poor guy has to battle with corrupt FAs and now a referee cartel. i thought cristiano was the one many considered a villian, but damn all these organizations going after poor messi, i wonder what their reason for this is? i'm sure u'll enlighten us with some facts
maybe an article on referees in houston texas using steroids to help their energy levels during games.....and somewhere somehow this will explain how corrupt officiating saw a 3 goal lead eclipsed

Or when someone pretends to throw it, doesn't, then walks onto the field to lob the ball to his teammate to throw in.
9/10 throw ins in the PL are foul throws.

Re: What rules would you change/introduce to make the game more exciting?
Superbowl shows are not very interesting. Not that the real objective is to entertain it's just another attempt to generate cash flow.
They are panicking because football is supposedly less followed by younger generation. We see a lot of crazy solutions (such as ESL) to reinvent the game and make it more attractive for casuals.
Agnelli has been pushing this rhetoric since many years. Football is not modern, nobody has time for 90 minutes, nobody cares about domestic leagues. We must turn the game into a spectacle to please millenials. Look where this greedy mindset led us. He turned Juventus into swaggy jjuve ronaldo marketing FC. And now we look like nothing, we have provinciale players, no casual in their right mind would have the slightest incentive to become a Juve fan.
I wish bankruptcy to football

Remove red cards from the game. No team should play with less players for any extended period of time. Sin bin for repeat offenses, and forced subs for red card offences.

Like what?
Violent tackles force subs and suspend a player for three matches.
Taking away a goal scoring opportunity gets someone the sin bin for 15 minutes, suspension, and a free kick or penalty depending on the position.
Each team can have a pool of yellow cards, where a certain number sends a player to the sin bin for 10 minutes.
Much better than having a team play for extended amount of time with less men, ruining the match. Red cards are the worst aspect of the game imo, and they completely ruin matches if given in the first half.
