I feel like you were serious up until the Kevin Hart post, but okay.
Besides, as a white person, this is not a subject to be making light work of.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
one variation of "another teen movie" parodies.
Think it was 2.x/10 on imdb. Can't remember the name but i could only watch 20 minutes of it.

Hottie and the nottie probably.
Not another teen movie is a classic, RG.
Probably meet the Spartans or something you mean.

I meant a variation of it. Not another teen movie is great. It came out during that period where those films were popular.

Those parody/silly movies are meant to be trash entertainment lol. They should receive their own personalised rating website
Movie 43 was a shambolic laugh as well

That plot and cast would at least make the movie 5/10. How did it go so wrong lol?

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
1 hour 15 mins into I Saw the Devil (2010), and I find it quite boring. Does it get anymore interesting than hitchhiking a ride with someone in the middle of the night and more gory violence after more gory violence?

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Watched Midsommar yesterday.
Another Ari Aster gem. I don't think anyone moved from their seats after the ending for quite a while. I also don't think I would be able to tell anyone 'what kind of film it is' if someone asks because I simply don't know how to describe it.
I think after Lars Von Trier, Ari Aster is the only director who shows grief in such a realistic way. The first 20 minutes of the film is just incredible. Direction masterclass. He is so so talented and will go down as one of the best in 20-30 years.
It's quite opposite to Hereditary in the sense that Midsommar uses some of the brightest contrast to film nearly every scene where Hereditary was mostly dark. But they both have images you will never ever unsee. I mean genuine 'WTF' scenes. I would love to know what Swedish people think about this film.
The Shed ritual scene will go down in history.
Also not sure how this film passed the rating board. It will probably be banned in a lot of places.
Must watch if you are into Art films

RG watch “The Strange Thing About the Johnsons” if you haven’t. One of short films. It’s so absolutely fucked.

I've seen it. Thought it was great.
Absolutely loved the look of the film. He sure knows how to make a film look incredible on a limited budget.
The film had three great disturbing scenes that are all timers in the genre.
- Spoiler:
- The suicide in the house, the suicide at the cliff, and the ritual at the end.
Also that fucking pubic hair, menstruation blood dinner. Yuck.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
You wouldn't think it's low budget unless you really think about it after watching.
- Spoiler:
That sex ritual scene man. Entire cinema was in tears. No one knew how to react other than laughing. Never seen something so utterly absurd in my life. Specially when the grandma started pushing his ass in her ffs.
The suicide at the cliff...didn't see it coming. And then the head bashing. Right up there with the head and pole scene in Hereditary.
That dinner was disgusting but the fact they skinned humans...all those meat pies had human flesh in it for sure.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Aside from Florence Pugh who's always great, Jack Reynor really nailed his role. He felt like so many dudes I know. A complete and utter dickhead. And he made it work without being cartoony.
