Best Matches of the Season

EDIT:Now we can use it to name best matches of the season from each competition


The Idea is to have a Thread in which people rate matches they have watched during the week and add few words to describe it

Like decent/boring/thrilling/average /must watch/tactically interesting/one sided etc

So a rating out of 10 and quick review like one line max for each match
and writing all matches from the same week only in one post and then edit to add further matches to make it easier to read through

Whether the order should be from Monday to Sunday or  from Friday to Thursday can be debated( i prefer the latter)

The idea is NOT to make to it to compare match A vs B
but being useful
Not everyone can watch same amount of matches from different competitions so this way you can keep track of best matches of the week and which ones are worth watching in case you have missed it

It would take very few minutes to write and easy to read that way and can be helpful if enough people contribute

(0-4) bad match, not worth your time
(5) average/ok game
(6) decent match, perhaps worth your attention
(7) great match, worth watching
(8.) non-stop action and/or lots of goals
(9) game of the year contender
(10) instant classic

What‘s the verdict on the Super Cup: Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid, watch or not?

Watch for sure, great match, great goals. Much more entertaining than the spanish supercup.

I would say a 7 for a preseason game it was really good

Yeah. Better than the other supercups I watched this year. Proper game even though it was pre season.

Cool, this thread can go on for the whole season, and as it goes more and more memorable games will occur, then at the end of the season we can recap the best ones.

I enjoyed the Supercup obviously Real losing more than anything 8/10

crazy first half,Sarri won battle of coaches in 2nd half

*Brighton-Man Utd 7/10
from hopeless vs Watford to protecting the lead vs utd without much problem

*Lazio-Napoli 6/10
Neither team were even that good

*Real Madrid vs Getafe 7/10

Good match to watch for pure technical quality esp Marcelo

Absolute Thriller.tactically interesting too

*Celta-Atletico  7.5/10
Celta are legit,always love when top3 face tough opponent away from home

One-sided and i knew it but  Not satisfied with quality of football on display

up there with that as entertaining matches so far this season,perhaps even better

their 2nd match was pretty good too

One of the best match i have this season is Everton Vs Liverpool at Goodison.

Might have ended 0-0 but it was an incredible match. Won't see anything like it again.

Juve - Atletico was incredible.

Best Juve match of the season

Arsenal 4 - 2 Tottenham.

- Arsenal going into the game with something to prove since Spurs finished above them in the table again, amid talk of a power shift
- Arsenal starting well and going ahead
- Spurs getting an equaliser, Dier doing the "shh" celebration, which sparks a big argument on the touchline
- Alli tells Ramsey to "sit down"
- Arsenal lose their heads and give away a pen. Kane scores, Spurs go in 2-1 up at half-time
- Emery brings on Ramsey and Lacazette at half-time
- Ramsey sets-up Auba's screamer
- Ramsey sets-up Lacazette for 3-2
- Torreira adds a quick fourth
- Arsenal make a point of over-celebrating in the same corner the fight happened earlier
- At the other end, Arsenal fans set off a flare new the Spurs fans



From a neutral perspective, City 2 - 1 Liverpool was an outstanding game for its tension and physicality.
