Lovren has always been class off the pitch. He's had a horrid two years in his personal life and he's kept coming back and pushing on as if nothing ever happened. He's no doubt a fighter and a leader. If he shuts the mistakes out, he can be a very good CB for any team.

ah no Nishankly.  He cannot.  He's not a good CB.  Vida saved his ass in the tournament... Lovren got outpaced by everyone so Vida was forced to basically play help whenever anyone with speed came at the CBs.

The guy is better than when with  Lyon... where he was a disgrace.  But he's just ok.

I know that is exactly why I want him to be replaced (re: mashallah thread on GS), I still do believe he'll be great with some other team where the stakes aren't so high like Chelsea or United.

Lovren is not a defensive leader, he needs a partner that leads him for it

I agree with Lovren not so good though, but Vida is worse , omitting the World Cup. Dnipro is his level. I remember he was our market target and he was so bad whenever I watched his matches

Anyway I agree with Sports when he says that this generation , free from WC obsession, can even improve his gamestyle (probably the most constant critical towards Deschamps is about his negative attitude)

I remember France 2000 played much better than that 98, in fact if we don't consider the final (it's always an atypical match. 3-0 easy vs if Wiltord didn't score on last minute) it was also more impressive

France 98 was great team but they knocked out Paraguay with a golden goal exactly foe this reason. Pressure was enormous

Lovren has been a beast in the WC. Lovren also pocketed Ronaldo in the CL final I don't know if you watch any of his games or just rate him because of mistakes he did 2 years ago He was the one carrying Vida in every game.
