True But I'm not sure croatia will have the energy to keep the ball lol. We may be forced to actually take it to them.

Hoping for Croatia but France gonna win it probably, win ugly. Wont be surprised if it ends up 0-0 and goes to pens though

I'm glad Croatia went through, and I would be even happier to see Modric lift the world cup.

I would say it's 60-40 to France, but I'm hoping for an upset here.

Come on Modric, our midfield general! Win the most prestigious trophy there is in world football and immortalize your name among the best players to ever grace a football field.

PS: it's funny that even though Madrid has players among both finalists, I find myself leaning a little bit more towards Croatia because I feel somehow Modric is a lot more important and deserving than Varane

Who would have thought this is how their WC will after, after they drew to FINLAND in Zagreb back in October, and had to beat Ukraine in Kyiv to even qualify for the play-offs

On paper and applying any logic I can only see France here and I have voted for them but at the same time I have a funny feeling about this. One reason is Croatia have come out of a tight spot three times in a row. They have been like a new Germany - just refuse to die. The there is Luka Modric. Maybe it is his year. UCL victory. World champion. Golden ball. Ballon D'or. It could very well happen.

'Pinnacle of incompetence' might be harsh. He won the Ligue 1 title with Marseille. What people may have forgotten is that he reached the UCL 2004 final with Monaco beating some very fancied teams on the way.

The reason he irritates people I think is because he is too conservative. A neutral looks at that kind of talent in a squad and then when so many of them sit back on the pitch it does not leave a nice feeling. However its quite possible that a more vibrant approach would have lost France the game against Belgium. In this world cup conservatism has largely ruled. So Deschamps winning the cup might be symbolic of the tournament in a way.

France got this, the real final was Belgium-France already.

That being said I'm happy that there's at least 1 team in the final that is able to play football

Really hope Modric wins this, would be crazy to see him possibly lift the World Cup and Balon D'or. Having said this, i'd be fine with France winning too, these are the two teams i was supporting from beginning anyways. Anti-football hate against France is exaggerated.

Hope Croatia wins for football's sake but sadly this will be a comfortable 1-0 for France
