Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I expect it to receive the same level of enthusiasm and praise as a game like Death Stranding. A lot of hype was around this game, and it was a great game, but it wasn't the masterpiece many awaiting fans were hoping it to be.

Arquitecto wrote:Really am hoping CDPR pull of a success in this because I know a lot of people (oddly) are wanting it to fail.
My impressions are that it is one of the most ambitious games out there but doesn't seem to be executed too well. No surprise given this is the first time they are doing something like this let alone First-Person.
I hope a few tweaks and adjustments will improve thoughts on the combat and driving either way.
I see it getting the reception Death Stranding did of sorts but not 9+.
Compared it to Death Stranding here too in what I predict it will get.
Reviews aren't out so my prediction will be 7-8/10 and I sincerely hope I am proven wrong.
70 avg in my opinion or could like Death Stranding as said either one loves or hates it.
But it is a fact countless people want to fail. That is for sure.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Leaks are out and it runs terribly on current gen pre day 1 patch. On next gen and PC it runs perfectly. There's an Xbox One S video which made the game look unplayable. No wonder there were so many delays and a 41 GB patch coming.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 has standout side quests and strong main characters, though its buggy, superficial world and lack of purpose bring it down.

Cyberpunk 2077 has the great characters and quests you would expect from CD Projekt Red, but it's not much more. The beautiful world is set dressing that you'll end up ignoring as you go from one waypoint to the next like any other map game. https://t.co/wEkUjuWdjB

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk is a buggy mess. The game wasn't as bad for me at the start, but toward the end of the game, it started to collapse. Every main character was touched by hilarious bugs. The last frame before credits was bugged, I thought it was the actual endinghttps://t.co/1H6SEWOb90

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I played the game for 20-odd hours on the review build ("content complete but not final") and then the next 20 with "a part of the day zero patch", and there's a list of things that aim to be fixed in the rest of that "day zero" patch - but importantly, even if the rest of this patch is successful, lots of bugs I suffered from weren't on that list of what it plans to fix, which has me worried.
To be honest, it is a mess right now. Characters frozen in default, static animations throughout cutscenes/scripted conversations/scenes; floating weapons after you kill the enemy holding them (this was supposed to be fixed but is still happening); stuff just... not appearing in characters hands when they're supposed to be holding something; one where smashing a window that I needed to smash for a quest sent me flying 150 yards backwards, repeatedly. All immersion-breaking stuff, over "game-breaking", but in a game that's built around the altar of immersiveness, it's an issue...

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
It would be ideal for no such things to be present in the game, but I don’t think it will bother me too much, or take away from the immersion, unless the game really is littered with it.

Pun intended? I never finished The Witcher 2, but I recall there being a lot of minor bugs from the very start of playing that game.

No, but now I wish it was intended
W2 had lots of minor bugs and a few bigger ones I rant into. W1 was the big one, littered with bugs.
Its one of the reasons I don't like WRPGs so much. Games tend to be too buggy. Witcher was good enough for me to tolerate them, but it was a lot. W2 was so good it didn't really matter much.

They should've waited 6 months and done it right, now people are just going to wait and they hype will die.

Doubt it will make the majority of people wait, the game is too hyped and its still reviewing 9s and 10s.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I don't find bugs to be a huge problem with a game unless game breaking. A game for me I rate based on what it is not bad coding but indeed CDPR do not polish their games too too well and it is why it baffles me idiots get mad over delays as if they have nothing else to do with their time. Delays are for a reason.
The reason CP77 seems rated lower are those bugs and if not the lack of cohesion in its stellar ambition to which I saw as its possible downfall as only so much a small team like CDPR can string together.
But no doubt this cannot be seen as another Death Stranding as I hope to see the thoughts of people who play it, on here.
