Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
So you have the chance to get LeBron, Kawhi and Paul George, two top 5 players and a top 20 player but you would prefer to see Ingram, Hart and Randle develop?
I don't see the upside in waiting as LeBron is 33 years old. I mean, sure, he's carried bigger scrubs than the current Lakers' team and will probably have Paul George initially too, but those three provide a legitimate shot at a championship [assuming they get some half decent bench options].
Anyways, we'll see what happens over the next few days

LeBron isn't going there unless you trade for Kawhi lol.
He's not going to LA to teach Lonzo how to conduct himself on Social Media brah.

[Wojnarowski] The Spurs are fully engaged in trade talks with several teams on Kawhi Leonard, including the Lakers and Celtics, league sources tell ESPN. Boston has long had the assets that the Spurs most covet in a potential Leonard trade.

Where else is LeBron going then?
Also I’m just saying you can’t trade everyone. I don’t want Paul George over Ingram and Lonzo.
Lonzo is the perfect player to play with them so it would be idiotic to trade him.
___
But let’s see what happens.
I doubt we’re gonna give up every single asset for someone with one year left. No team with sense will do that shit.

Woj is such a Spurs stooge
He’s writing that Spurs can bet on Kawhi extending.
As if that’s ever gonna happen.

To be fair, I didn't say trade everyone, I said 2 players and some picks. It doesn't seem out of this world for a player like Kawhi and an organization like the Spurs, coupled with the looming free agency circus.
The Celtics aren't a numpty team and Brown/Tatum > Lonzo, Randle, Hart, Ingram, Kuzma. Proven in the East and disciples of the Brad Stevens

In what world is Brown better than Ingram? Worse in every category. If Stephens is that great maybe Ingram would’ve been even better under him. Also a year younger.
God I hope we don’t lose him.
Also. Boston trading for Kawhi is just fake news imo. It’s smoke to draw Lakers into giving up too much.

I can only see Kawhi in LA because of his camp being so vocal about not signing long term anywhere else. Spurs could cuck him for a year but they'll see so much less return

I’ll give you that. Don’t know how th last thing is that good.
Well Lakers’ first offer to Spurs has been leaked:
Ingram and a future first
Spurs want a lot more but Lakers aren’t likely to give because they don’t believe any of the news about other teams bidding.

Ingram isn't even in Brown's league lmao, don't care about stats when one plays for a bad team who hasn't even sniffed coming close to the playoffs and the other plays for a 50+ win team who went to the conference finals.
Meanwhile Brown has shown an ability to score 20+ in the playoffs during high pressure moments with great defence and contributing winning plays.
Ingram has barely played in a high pressure moment in his life, the bias is bordering on Sportzcy levels here.

Imagine using playoffs as an argument against a 20 year old, when you're a guy defending Cousins, who's almost 30 and has never played in a meaningful game in his life

Yep Cousins the franchise player of a bad team and the 2nd best player of a team who looked like they could contend before his injury is the same thing as a player who has had a handful of ok performances against teams on back 2 backs in January.

I have been told by a trusted source, through advanced analytics, that for a 14 minute window, Ingram mirrored Durant's averages through the same 14 minutes

Yeah, I'm Sports level bias.
But you're saying here Pelicans looked like they could contend? please.
So if Ingram hasn't played in playoffs and is levels behind Brown, then is Cousins levels behind Brown too?
You've never watched Ingram, so I don't know why I'm bothering.
Tatum on the other hand actually proved something in the playoffs. Never saw what Brown did to warrant the not in his league comments. If anything Stephens should've limited Brown's role in the playoffs when Tatum was clearly their best option.

What does Durant have to do with anything?
I'm just saying that Jaylen Brown scoring 18 points on 17 shots per game against Cleveland doesn't prove that he's superior to Ingram.
That series showed that Jaylen was the fourth best player on an injury ridden Celtics team. I doubt Ingram would've done worse in that situation.

Regarding Lakers-Spurs discussions. Things have been in the conceptual lane thus far. Ingram’s name has been in discussions but more as a player Spurs covet.
— Ramona Shelburne (@ramonashelburne) 28. juni 2018
This makes it look like we don't even want to include Ingram. Hopefully a Kuzma, Hart + picks package would happen if Kawhi has forced them enough.
Don't think the trade happens at all though.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
I'm only teasing. I don't think there is much between Brown-Ingram, Brown being a better defender right now and also has the benefit of playing for House Celtics, under Lord Stephens which made Jae Crowder look good and Isaiah Thomas look like an MVP candidate.
Tatum is however, someone I can comfortably rate above Ingram for the foreseeable future.
Cousins has nothing to do with this, and if Ingram is an all star 4 times by the time he's 27, I'm sure everyone will be happy with that kind of progress but lets be real, that's as likely to happen as it is not to happen.
I think a trade will happen, I wouldn't be surprised if a third team becomes involved, which increases the complexity by a large degree but could be necessary in moving all the appropriate pieces. But then again, maybe I just want to see something big happen to really start the off season with a bang. The Raptors are probably going to depress me

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Why not? We beat the Rockets ( first team to do so with CP3, Harden, Capela), Boston in Boston with Kyrie, OKC, Cleveland and San Antonio the week leading to Boogie going down.
That team was playing at a level the team never matched in the playoffs despite what the media wants to believe, i don't see why we couldn't have contended really.
Also you are purposefully being forgetful tbh, Brown was much better than Tatum in the first two series even though i rate Tatum higher and he was their best player against Cleveland.
Also your comparison makes zero sense, Cousins has had the shoulder the responsibility of leading a franchise and everything that comes with it. Every night for him in Sacremento is a pressure situation because win or lose it's down to him.
Meanwhile Ingram has a 20 point game once in a while and it's considered an amazing game.
Also i have watched him, a lot i hate when people on here resort " you don't watch him anyway " It's lazy and just proves you have no argument.
If Ingram had proven to show he's clearly above Brown over an entire season i'd give him the benefit of the doubt, like how Cousins deserves the benefit of the doubt over most other centers i'd allow it.
But considering he hasn't, the player that has shown he's better it moments that matter is the better player until proven otherwise.

I don't disagree with any of this at all.
Maybe Tatum being better for the foreseeable future. He's got a head's start right now. But the leaps are always hard to judge.

Cousins has never played a moment that mattered. So Aaron Baynes is better.
Also Ingram scored more than Brown in the regular season, so I don't know why you keep writing that him scoring 20 is considering amazing.
He scored more than Brown, while also being the PG for half the games.
Also Tatum was better in the playoffs. You're the one being forgetful.
Tatum was better in the last two series, by far. Brown was better against Bucks.
Tatum also was basically better in every statistical category in the playoffs.

Every game matters when you are the franchise player
I don't know why you are comparing the two tbh, If Cousins was just one of the players for his whole career but that isn't the case.
If you are going to use that argument with Ingram then compare him to another player who actually deserves to be compared to him.
Might as well compare AD to him while your at it tbh.

Sources close to LeBron: He didn't text KD and his going to the Lakers would not be sealed (or doomed) by whether or not they trade for Kawhi. ... Man, we'll all be better when this is over, one way or the other
— Joe Vardon (@joevardon) 28. juni 2018
Seems like it was Spurs trying to gain leverage by saying LeBron would decide his new destination in relation to where Kawhi was going.
The KD rumour was also idiotic. He's not leaving GSW at any point. I have no idea why anyone is allowed to write that bs.
I'm certain LeBron has already decided.
