Re: UCL Final 17/18 | Real Madrid Vs Liverpool
A cruel way to lose, but congrats to Real for an incredible fourth CL in five years. That's, like, totally amazing.
It was like going down to 10 men when we lost Salah. Lallana wasn't in the game at all, though I don't really blame him, the guy's been practically injured the whole season.
Karius, the less said about him, the better.

Re: UCL Final 17/18 | Real Madrid Vs Liverpool
the fact they beat psg bayern and juventus to reach the final and win it is slightly being ignored. Madrid have been an efficient side and winning team so all credit to them when its due.
however the team has probably out grown its success most of the players are now old and i doubt the same team can still play at the same level. players like ramos modric marcelo ronaldo benzema are all past 30. ronaldo i believe can still continue at the highest level but others are probably close to retirement age.
Madrid should have spent this season to continue to over haul the squad and they definitely need to do this summer. A new blood of galacticos is needed again.

Funny how Liverpool and Madrid fans are being so respectful to each other while Barca fans are the ones moaning and acting like sore losers.

Irrespective of how bitter I am we must admit that congratulations are in order so congratulations to madridistas. Wouldn't be surprised if they go on to win the fourth and fifth tbh by looking at the current condition of Bayern, Barca and Juve.

Re: UCL Final 17/18 | Real Madrid Vs Liverpool
Liverpool played with heart. I saw relentless pressing from them almost like a machine. However Modric and Kroos were able to bypass their pressing by excellent passing and one touch football... Modric is the best midfielder in the world.
Re: UCL Final 17/18 | Real Madrid Vs Liverpool
I honestly really like Klopp... he's a great manager. Has his flaws (think his personnel can do anything when some clearly cannot); but he gets the absolute maximum with what he has.
He really needs to push Liverpool to buy WC players to round out the squad. Only need a 2-3 top players to take the next step... one of them is keeper. And despite a good final, Lovren is a calamity too. Need a top CM too.

Re: UCL Final 17/18 | Real Madrid Vs Liverpool
I honestly think football fans were robbed off a real spectacle the moment Salah went off.
The first 20-25 minutes were some of the finest starts to a CL final. Both teams with crisp passing, creating chances and openings. A real open and even game.
Then Ramos takes Salah out and that was the moment the game felt over. To put in context, Salah touched the ball nearly as much in the first 25 minutes as his replacement, Lallana, did for the rest of the match.
Then you had the goalkeeping masterclass in the second half. The sort of stuff you expect to see in U-20 Nepal youth league. I worry about Karius' mental being. He becomes a global meme in front of half the world. To make clangers in normal games is one thing, but to do it TWICE in 20 minutes in a game that's watched by half the world...good luck.
Ultimately, that's why some teams like Madrid, Barca, Juve, etc are serial winners and others like Napoli, Roma, Liverpool, etc always seem to fall short in the last hurdle. If Karius had made those errors for Madrid, there is no way he'd ever start a game for them again. I, however, won't be surprised one bit if he is Liverpool's starting keeper next season. Liverpool may win the "feel good, be nice guys, moral justice, redemption chance" trophy, but it'll be Ramos' and Real Madrid's of this world that will keep getting the tangible shiny silver stuff.

The Ramos incident kind of reminded me of this basketball play which 99% of people consider to be a horrendously dirty play (Love dislocated his shoulder)

Cuck is like the new "asshole, prick, *bleep*"
Why are you always so sensitive to how people speak? Does it deeply effect you?

I thought "cuck" was a male feminist. Someone who fights for female rights without putting much thought into it, and someone who doesn't mind that their female counterpart wears the pants in their relationship. Someone like, Justin Trudeau.

I guess I'm a a bit late, but better late than never, right...
First, congrats to Real Madrid, they won it fair and square. Congrats to Real fans here and beyond.
I salute my team, they lost but they played with their hearts in their sleeves. My GL buddies; I'm so, so proud of you. You rejoiced when things were bright and stood sober when it felt your heart is slashed with a knife.
I don't blame Ramos. What he did may be cynical in sporting terms, but it's in the gray zone and I guess it's OK. I will be pissed if Salah do miss the WC. Also, I think Mane really stepped-up once Salah was off, great fighter.
Kudos to RG for opening the chat and whining (till 3 AM) about me using the same font color.

To further deviate from the actual thread title, I always thought "cuck" was a derogative word to describe a man who is inadequate or something like that.
