Who will go through
Re: UCL QF : Barcelona Vs AS Roma
Barca were outplayed horribly tonight. The first half alone could have buried the game.
Barca just went scoreless to a team with JUAN JESUS on defense

Re: UCL QF : Barcelona Vs AS Roma
I didn't believe this could happen. I dared not believe it. That shit is dangerous for Romanisti.
All I can say right now is that my expectations were simply to simply watch this team go out gracefully. I would've accepted the result at 1-0, and definitely at 2-0. 3-0? My brain is struggling mightily to process what just happened.
I'm proud of our players. They fought, harassed and harried relentlessly. Most importantly, they took their goddamn chances. The players who get the most appreciation today? Daniele De Rossi and Kostas Manolas: The 2 men who scored own goals in the first leg. You can't write a better next chapter than what we just saw from them.
To the Barca fans - Good game guys. Good tie too. This changes nothing for me. You're still one of the best teams around, you have one of history's greatest players on your books and you'll undoubtedly be right back at this end of the comp next year. It's as certain as rain.

futbol wrote:Messi is not the main culprit but the supposed best player of all time must bail out his team in such difficult times. It's Roma as well, with all due respect, not prime Bayern. 2 goals in 5 years in CL knockouts from quarter finals onwards is inexcuseable. Everything said about Messi was true, nothing without prime Xaviesta, except that one season with prime Neysuarez. Messi only works well with the best 2 midfielders or best 2 forwards possible, a normal good (but not all-conquering great) team and he does nothing.
Don't tell me Cristina scores goals on his own. In fact the Madrid team is built around him. He has Isco, Modrić, Benzema, Kroos etc. working their ass off for him. Who does Messi have in this team? André Gomes. Grandpa Iniesta. Dumbélé and Flopinho.
I really want Messi to leave Barcelona. The best player of all time (imho) is being dragged down by an incompetent board, beta coaches and shit players.
Re: UCL QF : Barcelona Vs AS Roma
Lol Ronaldo doesn't have a team working solely for him. He is just so good at shaking his marker and getting into good scoring positions. When Ronaldo is in form, all our players have to do is play the ball into the box and he'd do the rest
He's that good, there isn't a single defencd that can keep him quite. Messi doesn't even need to defend and can lose the ball 100 times in one half and his team would still fetch it back for him. The moment Ronaldo loses the ball the 3rd time he'd get booed relentlessly lol. If anything it's Messi who has it luxurious at Barca, he can play like he feels like playing, he can demand what he likes and still people would percieve him as this innocent little boy who's team is dragging him down.

Another elimination by the ref, gifting penalty to Roma. I remember that Atletic handball in the box 13-14 too.

Re: UCL QF : Barcelona Vs AS Roma
So suddenly Suarez, Coutinho, Dembele, Rakitic, Busquets, Pique, Umitit, etc. are all shit..... rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhht
If you watch Madrid at all, you'd realize we would likely be in relegation zone right now with the lowest number of goals ever scored in history... without CR.
Benzema and Bale are on a different level than shit... i wouldn't insult the term "shit" by calling them that.

Greatest sub I've seen since Heskey came on for Defore in 2010 World Cup when England was trailing 4-1 against Germany.

Not only was it a clear penalty, it was a stonewall red card.
You're just not used to seeing penalties called against you. What is this, the second one in 5 years?

Roma completely outplayed us and deserved to go through. Great performance from them and a disgraceful performance from us.

Of course Harmonica is ignoring that Iniesta should have been sent off before that. I remember clear as day he stopped a clear goalscoring opportunity and did not get a red.

Re: UCL QF : Barcelona Vs AS Roma
dany, did you...did you just say Benzema is working his ass off for Ronaldo?
Ronaldo is carrying the Madrid attack all by himself, and if there's one thing Benzema is doing, it's taking up a valuable spot in the starting eleven and contributing with nothing.
If Ronaldo has a bad day, Madrid sinks. That's how important he is. He's the man who stands between Madrid and an otherwise certain defeat week in and week out.
He turns half-decent chances into goals and doesn't have anybody helping him in attack. Take him out and Madrid would be fighting relegation without his goals. That's how instrumental he is, and it has nothing to do with Modric or Isco or anybody else helping him. He creates goals out of nothing, which is quite impressive when you're playing alongside two amateurs up front.

Dzeko grabbed Piques shirt and pushed him off. Go watch it again. Never a penalty.farfan wrote:Harmonica wrote:Another elimination by the ref, gifting penalty to Roma. I remember that Atletic handball in the box 13-14 too.

What is wrong with you. Piquet was pulling Djeko down by his arm.
