Some parents now would gag at the idea of dropping 400 dollars on a console. That's the epitome of greed. It's always great to see companies literally fold from greed. Doesn't happen often enough.

Re: General Games Discussion
Was hyped to see Ubisoft was making a pirate game after fans begged them to do on after Black Flag then sighed after seeing the demo. People loved Black Flag because you played a PIRATE CAPTAIN while in Skull and Bones you are literally just playing a ship.
But other than that can we acknowledge Ubisoft's face turn? Starting with the relentless support and updates to Siege, then AC Origins and now Far Cry 5. Announced Beyond Good & Evil 2 last E3 and will announce Splinter Cell this year (hopefully).

Re: General Games Discussion
Really concerned about a possible Splinter Cell tbh.
I don't want an open world splinter cell, I just feel like it's not right for that game.
Ubisoft have done a great at improving the design of their open worlds with the latest AC and Far Cry but there's some things you don't make open world.

So FFXV Windows Edition is pretty af.
But about as mediocre af with the potential for great as I've ever seen.
Gimme FFXII Zodiac Edition for the same money, that's an FF that's aged very well.

Re: General Games Discussion
Only last month, Square Enix announced that they were looking for level designers for the game. Level designers ffs. Considering that a new console generation likely isn't too far away, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up having to stitch together what they have, and release it for PS5 before the project becomes too resource demanding.
My initial impression of Ni No Kuni 2 wasn't entirely accurate. It improves on quite a few things over it's predecessor, but I think it has regressed slightly in certain, other areas. Through my 10-ish hours spent in the game, it's been a very solid experience. Like in the first game, you can really tell that they put a lot of love and effort into developing it. Some of the features seem gimmicky and redundant, but the combat has been so easy that it hasn't really mattered whether or not I've paid attention to them.

Re: General Games Discussion
If it wasn't for the absolute banter of being in a party chat playing online games with mates i'd avoid them almost entirely.
The games that used to be GOAT were over produced and stagnated, most new MP games are just a bit shit in general.
Co Op games >>>>>>> the downside is story driven co op games will last you one solid weekend.

Yea definitely truth in that. MP games were at their best when we had proper sessions going on with the party chat etc and didn't take them too seriously.

Re: General Games Discussion
I still enjoy a lot of single player games, probably more than ever tbh.
But it's true that most MP games are trash, not enough decent co-op games either.
If that's what you look for then you are going to be insanely disappointed with your experience. It's why until Fortnite/PUBG blew up people kept going back to GTA Online and Overwatch over and over again.
There was simply no quality competition.

Vermintide 2 maybe one of the best multiplayer coops out there today, if you and your buddies played Left for Dead and had fun then be sure to get it. Its like that but with RPG mechanics.

So happy i bought Far Cry 5, the changes they made just makes it so much easier to play without going clinically insane.
Will probably be the first Far Cry i finish tbh.

Rented Far Cry 5 and returned it within 3 days. My presumptions were true. A rehash/reskin of past Far Cry games. Even most animations and sounds are identical.
This game is an insult to anyone with intelligence.

You may not like it but rehash is simply not true, that's a factually incorrect statement.

I have absolutely no regrets about picking up Ni No Kuni 2 over Far Cry. Might pick up the latter when it's on sale for 20$, though.

Re: General Games Discussion
Not sure whether or not you’re joking. It’s a relatively well known sequel to a critically acclaimed game. You a big Far Cry fan, stats? Ni No Kuni does have a Disney-ish, child-like, fantasy setting that honestly doesn’t appeal as much to me as it does to someone who’s really into JRPGs or fantasy games, and that’s probably why I keep skipping the dialogues and can’t bring myself to care about any of tje characters. Ni No Kuni isn’t really my type of game. However, the game is really polished, fun and addicting, and more importantly - refreshingly different. It has a completely different appeal than the well established, Far Cry franchise has, and although I don’t doubt that the newest Far Cry is a good game, I’m just not in the mood for that type of action game these days. I’d rather play a game that offers something new and unpredictable.Myesyats wrote:wtf is Ni No Kuni lmao

Nah I was joking dude, idk that game but it just looks very childish and I personally wouldn't play it. If the gameplay is enjoyable then whatever
