Looks like they rushed the game out in an unfinished state. The concept behind the game is definitely interesting, but from what I can tell, it lacks content, variation and polish. I wonder if Microsoft had anything to do with it

Gex's first game was a 2D platformer, while Crash went in with scrolling 3D game.

Both have the 90s written all over them though (and that's the same with Sonic as well).

Hearing very good things about Far Cry 5

same, just don't think I CBA with FPS games nowadays, except that new Metro.

I really shouldn't buy it but I'm bored AF and still another 20 days till Yakuza 6 and 23 till GOW.

Loved Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon but yeah after that the formula was stale to me, barely lasted 90 mins in 4. That said, heard the story in this praised as the best yet - not that it's a high bar. It looks good, but probably something to pick up when it's 20 quid.

Far Cry is a good series, they tend to be pretty well done. Can't be bothered though, always get bored with them way too quickly.

Love Far Cry, will get it in the summer. Bought Shadow Of The Colossus and I'm spending a lot of time in Monster Hunter World and I don't think I'm even halfway done.

*bleep* love Monster Hunter, Capcom recently added a new monster in a free update and said everything post release will be free. Wish this was the norm.

I've heard it's actually good btw, will definitely try it.

Although i heard it's one of those open world games that you don't try and be a completionist or you'll go insane.

But the combat both vehicular and hand to hand is apparently fun.

Far Cry 3 was alright. Anything after that has been a rehash of it + OTT villain to make the story "interesting".

Far Cry games are repetitive but I still enjoy them. 5 looks like a solid improvement over the earlier versions so i'll definitely pick it up but not for the current price. I'll wait till it's like 20 quid lol

Caved in and bought Far Cry 5, really enjoying it so far. The changes they have made is making it a much better experience.

We'll see if that holds, also the Dog is the real *bleep* MVP.

Used discount code on a lot of cheap indie games I've been meaning to play and Okami+LIS Before The Storm. The sales+discount codes Sony keeps handing out is insane. I have one more code that expires on 30th April and guess which no prizes for guessing which game I'm gonna use it for

Sea of thieves seems to be the trend for online games now

Release what is essentially a beta for full price. Add things for 1-2 years and make an entirely different game all together by the end. It's just disgusting that it's so bare bones though, it's literally fetch quest simulator it looks like the most shallow game ever made. Every single mission on it is the sort of stuff you expect in an early stage RPG to ease you into an actual game.

PVP ship wars are pointless
Only thing you can buy is tiny amounts of customisation


The bit that got me the most was that the *bleep* KRAKEN was just a few tentacles. If you jump in the sea during the boss fight, it doesn't even have a body They never gave it a *bleep* body! That's pre-beta levels of laziness.

Has potential to be great, so i'll pick it up when it's £15 in 2 years time and it's 5x more stacked with content.

The problem is, that even though everybodies spending power is pretty awful these days, games are still bought comfortably by most people and people even constantly pre-order games that may or may not be shit

Until gaming becomes a luxury for working and middle class people, they will continue to be able to sell a game that's 10% finished based on hype and turn a profit. When shit hits the fan economically due to rising game prices and wages etc stagnating, these sorts of releases will probably ruin companies.

Finally pirate hype was peaking and the two games they release are

Sea of Thieves - Early access

Skull & bones - Pirate ship fighting game with nothing else. No actual world, just a team death match with ships.

As somebody who identifies as a pirate, this shit has set pirate game hype and potential levels back years ffs.

Guess it's ironic that Sea of Thieves literally plunders your bank account before you even start the game. True role playing experience. 10/10

399 in like 1994 ffs.
