I don't have the full context on Firmino being racist thing. He just said hijo de puta right? Or did he say more?

How can you call someone a racist without proof? I could never do that to a person online let alone in real life even as banter.

Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 7
Also Firmino is not a striker, There is a reason our top scorers are wingers every season with Klopp. Firmino is a midfielder in the team, The furthest CAM. He's unfortunately compared to strikers because clowns don't know shite. It's actually like comparing Pogba with a Matic at CM. Different roles, Different objectives, Can't compare. His average position is behind Mane and Salah in every game, Check the heat maps.
This is why Liverpool is so successful in breaking play upfront, Countering at pace, being dynamic and play without a formation, Defenders literally don't know who to mark while Mane last season and Salah this season even though are wingers run through them each time, The space is ALWAYS created by Firmino.

Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 7
He's a false nine. He suits Liverpool perfectly, because his movement creates space for Mane/Salah, he has a good touch and vision to play them in, decent strength to hold the ball up and great work rate. He's also the leader of the press.
I'd argue Liverpool don't need a proper nine unless they plan on changing the roles of Mane or Salah.

Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 7
And another thing, Liverpool will sign a striker one day when all the 7 positions are dealt with. Firmino will still start at CAM and that move will help perform even more.
Even if any team buys Firmino, He'll play as CAM not a striker.
His jobs is not scoring goals, His job is to make sure the system works for this absolutely dreadful team who's players won't make it anywhere in life and he does it. El final, 4th, Back in the CL and we'll keep moving forward.

then why doesn't he score as many goals as X
> that, that's not his role!
k
can't wait for Salah the GOAT to go to Madrid and watch Bobby's stats fall back to Fellaini lvl tbh

So then why are you bothering to rate him alongside strikers who are primarily on the field for their respective teams to score goals
Sounded suspiciously Benzema like in your description

Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 7
I've never compared him to any striker on GL. I put it Infront of Lukaku to show what Firmino does more because goals is not his forte while it is for Lukaku. Unique is the one comparing lol. I have just been defending Firmino for his role rather than his goals since the last year. He's got 17 in January and still people aren't satisfied.

Unreal levels of goal posts moving tbh, if he's an attacking midfielder he's not a great attacking midfielder either tbh.

Wanted to know a number 9 who would do better then Firmino at Liverpool with their current squad l, currently in the PL except Kane that you guys feel?
Also IMO Son and Firmino are two heavily underrated players who people don't hear enough so assume is a jobber.

Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 7
been thinking about Chelsea's youth scam, so many youngsters that get hyped shipped off to Eredivisie and then never heard of again
could list a dozen names but genuinely not heard of the likes of Piazon etc at all, like they fell off the face of the earth
can anyone name the last one that actually amounted to anything? everyone has their youth flops, believe me I know, but Chelsea take it to a whole other level, getting to the point where in 150 years from now those Ancestry programs are gonna find that 1 in every 4 people from the Netherlands trace their roots back to a former Chelsea player

Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 7
Andreas Christensen is pretty much first choice for them now. Ethan Ampadu, a kid they signed from Exeter, has a few first team games under his belt as well.
Tbh how many kids that get a chance is really dependent on the manager. Chelsea have a new manager every two or three years and sack people quite easily if results aren't going well. No manager going into that job is going to risk playing kids unless they're top class.

Chelsea playing an almost perfect game and then Bakayoko extremely lucky not to concede a penalty. Could have costed them heavily, the ref saved him.
Batshuayi and Willian are looking good with their link up play with Hazard. That second goal was awesome.
