Re: 2017/18 Winter Transfer Rumors
ES wrote:Why would Sanchez go to City? Where would he fit/play? I highly doubt it
It was all agreed and done on deadline day, hell Sanchez took the pictures for the reveal
Then it didn't beat the deadline, it became quite clear after last season that Pep thought the team needed another goalscorer due to poor finishing last season.
I don't particularly think he thought they would start the season like this in terms of finishing chances, maybe he'll change his mind if the likes of Sane and Sterling keep it up.
We'll see.

Yeah he was touted to go there, thing is, do City need him anymore now? I mean unless Aguero leaves

I think Ozil's main gripe was with the Real fanbase, some bad blood there towards the end of his tenure (flipping the middle finger iirc?)

Inter will probably play in Champions League next season.
Suning money can cover Ozil on the payroll but it breaks the salary pyramid in the squad.

No Italian team will give Ozil that wage lol, not even Suning or any other entity

I would ignore reports of Mourinho and bad blood tbh.
There was the same for Mata and Lukaku and there doesn't seem to be issues there.

Why not ? At some point both teams will need to spend big if they want to be on par with top 10 clubs.
Maybe not Ozil specifically because it seems like he ain't worth what he's asking for, but i don't see the point of having rich chinese owners if they want to spend cheap.

I agree with Ozil criticism but lol at the 'dressing room angry' stuff
Every time I watch Arsenal most of the team get caught ball watching on the spot at some point or other. Not exactly a team full of hard working gritty lads.

Re: 2017/18 Winter Transfer Rumors
Not at all. Ozil was very popular with the fans. If there was a vote on who Madrid fans would want back Ozil would probably top that list. During Bale's presentation, the fans were singing Ozil's name because that's when the rumours of him leaving started. Ozil and Mou had their differences, alot of us agree with Mou's assessment of Ozil. He was a 50min guy but could thread a pass through the eye of a needle. He just lacked a good staminaES wrote:rincon wrote:Didn't Ozil and Mou have some bad blood? I thought he had criticized him a lot for his workrate or something like that.

As is well established Mou had like 3 friends before he left. I am sure Ozil and he could kiss and make up. Would be alot harder with a guy like Ramos but Ozil seems to have gotten past his issues. Perhaps after getting it all off his chest ij his book
During Mou's time we were hated my most of Spain. The middle finger was probably towards the other fans (can't remember it personally)

Because the wages are not sustainable and in my cases, cause a large disparity in the squad that makes it hard to justify.
The trade off is if you can sign a player on a free or cheaply because of an expiring contract, then you can put the money into their wages instead. This could easily happen because of Ozil's contract situation.

I think if Ozil walks into a new club, becomes easily the top earner and puts in the lazy displays he so often does, everybody and their mums/agents will be at the managements door the week after demanding a fat increase.

Yep there’s no bad blood between him and Ozil, Mou called Ozil the best AM in the world not that long ago.
I’m kinda hoping he goes there just so I can see some of these Arsenal fans who have now turned against him cry some more after he racks up those assists for Lukaku.
Personally I’m predicting a Bayern transfer, they love to collect all the German talent and Ozil for free is just too juicy to pass on. I also believe that those outrageous wages Ozil is looking for are completely fabricated stories from Arsenal to justify the fact that Ozil just wants to leave no matter the money they offer. He has never been a money grubbing footballer or he wouldn’t have rejected Man Utd and PSG for Arsenal.

Re: 2017/18 Winter Transfer Rumors
It breaks the salary pyramid, that's for sure.
If Inter wants Ozil, they need to upgrade Perisic, Icardi and maybe even Candreva, but it shouldn't be a big deal for Chinese owners. That's my logic, they don't have Marotta to make a corleone free deal every summer.
Spending big is not only transfers, sometimes a raise is appropriate if you want to keep your best players.

Ozil would cost 150k+ per week, the key players at Inter will want the same.
It's not sustainable.

So Man Utd is the only destination ? Of all teams that can afford him without breaking the salary pyramid.

Re: 2017/18 Winter Transfer Rumors
Dressing room isn't angry with Ozil lol. It was his first appearance in like 2 months. Dressing room is more angry with Sanchez.
Would sell both though. Just not to PL clubs. Ozil would be unreal for Inter.

This was my reaction as well Team mates unhappy with his work ethic when Xhaka was caught picking his nose instead of marking someone ffs. Give me a break.

Even though I hate Man U and Mou, would be happy to see Ozil move, just dont like to see such a talent being wasted under Wenger lol...

How devastated would Arsenal fans be if Ozil and Sanchez bail in January?

In the typology of BS rumours, the "has told teammates" one has to be at the very top of the list

Perisic has just extended his contract in September, Icardi will do it soon , Candreva will shut up.
That said, Ozil is not the type of target that Suning takes (for salary and age. Our salary cup is overall low ).
Never believed he could join in Serie A tbh

Not very. Fans have already accepted they're going to leave. They'd be more mad at the club than anything.

Re: 2017/18 Winter Transfer Rumors
Liverpool are interested in signing Schalke star Leon Goretzka, according to reports.
Goretzka has scored 13 goals in 98 Bundesliga appearances for Schalke since his debut back in 2013 but the 22-year-old midfielder is out of contract at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

What news is that
Every top club is 'interested' in Goretzka at the moment, as he can sign a contract from 1st January on with his Schalke contract running out in July
