Does anyone rate Pioli? Why does he keep getting top jobs?

You don't like what he is doing with Fiore? he got handed a house on fire and has been putting it off. This is Pioli's level.

They lost Bernrdeschi, Valero, Vecino, Rodriguez, Kalinic, Illicic, etc. plus the uncertainty with Della Valle sellin the club.

I have no idea about any of that.

But when I watch his teams play they are unispiring, impotent, going nowhere and disjointed in attack.

No idea what the guy has ever done to deserve being in main rotation among Serie A's top teams

Better to play ugly and still win I suppose, it was the same deal for large spells of the Juve match.

Cuadrado, Mandzukic and Bentancur were probably the best players for us tonight.

He is not. Inter hired him mid season after the trainwreck that De Boer was. You won't see Pioli at Juve/Roma/Napoli or even Milan. He did fine with Bologna and very well with Lazio. He took them to 3rd place. Now he is starting with Fiore and doing well enough for what he is dealing with. This is the level he can coach properly.

By a mile those 3 were our best. Really happy with Bentancur.

Me too, I was intrigued to see him start in a double pivot alongside Matuidi. Two players new to Italy and Allegri, starting next to each other in September.

His play style is just so smooth, almost always plays the right ball or makes the right choice (when to press, when to dribble etc.).

Its nice to see him get his chance early.

As for Cuadrado, I wanted him dropped before the season began but its matches like this which demonstrate why he's so difficult to displace. Match winning assist, great second half particularly.

More and more im becoming more unconvinced in this team, even though we won. We went to Lazio and got absolutely demolished, meanwhile Napoli went to Lazio and absolutely raped them. Hallmark of a great group. Whats gonna happen when Napoli come to Milan or we go to them? I have a very hard time seeing udms in top 3

milan lost against lazio because montella got it wrong..
right now milan are doing what they are doing, that is to find right balance and win... even if means winning ugly. collecting maximum points against small teams would be crucial.

dont worry, napoli didnt loose players this summer and they have better understanding..
milan have like out of 11, 7-8 players are all new, that means the faster these guys adapt to serie a and adapt on montella plan the better.

yea i have a feeling its going to be difficult game against big clubs, but they have to catch up faster

Napoli look like a bulldozer. 5 from 5 and 19 goals scored. The first year the problem was having no bench. The second year the adjustment period after Milik's injury and failing in big games. Now all their players stayed to win scudetto.

We need to start the GL jinx.

SPAL just came to defend to avoid loss against milan...
silva and Çalhanoğlu really struggled, but its understandable...
seems Çalhanoğlu is really better off playing behind strikers, ... anything other than that... winger or midfielder tracking back and forth.. not simply his style of football he just loves being behind strikers to open chances ... which we saw occasionally

i really liked kalinic movement,.. he really has this killer instinct and exceptional involvement in buildup...

lets see ... i felt like suso wasnt particularly enjoying new 3-5-2 lineup,  but if he adapts playing as second striker ... that would be magnificient

also adding... we should be proud... biglia was magnificient... finally a midfielder who has good vision on players movement... and is not a sook...

they absolutely nailed it right keeping ALL players... they are reaping benefits from that right now...
they will do great in serie A but they need to have a bit of confidence in europe cuz mann.. they are so organized from every point of view atm...

Napoli's priority is 100% the scudetto. They won't throw Europe because Sarri takes everything seriously, but they won't rotate much to prioritize CL games like we do.

Like benching Mertens, Jorginho and Allan for the first CL game.

I figure they will demolish SPAL and Cagliari and stay top of the table for the time being. After that they have Roma away, City away and Inter home. That will be a huge test.

Napoli retained their squad with the belief of winning this scudetto, they can absolutely do it.

4th gets CL now right?

If so, gonna be a tense shootout between China Town Duo and Lazio. Juve and Napoli will lock top 2 easily imo and Roma will be on their own in 3rd place.

Top 4 auto CL. Not so sure about Roma being an absolute lock over the others mentioned but they seem to be rolling now results wise at least
