Honestly whoever doesnt rate this series and plays it off as just a 'fanfare genre gimmick' is an idiot

It's brilliant. S3 is definitely on par with S1 or even better.

It improved a lot after episode 4 but man it's so so bloated. You could tell some of the character arcs were only there so they could keep the actors happy.

Hopefully volume 2 is faster paced

Part 2 is going to be 2 very long episodes so that points to perhaps more bloat.

Personally, I didn't see too many issues with Part 1 myself. Lots of filler, but unlike typical filler, this stuff was at least somewhat engaging.

Must say that while I like the kids, I found seasons 2 and 3 politically questionable to the point of hating it
