Re: Stranger Things || Netflix
I know they aren't an integral part of the series but it would have been nice to see some of the expanded cast get a bit more screentime tbh. Mike's mom is a MILF ffs. Need more than 1 minute screentime for her a season.

Mike’s father is my favourite character

This season was even better than S1 imo, the only episode that kinda sucked was E7 but I can understand why they made it that way. Sounds unbelievable but Steve is one of my favourite characters after this season

Steve Harrington had a Zuko level redemption arc.

Can’t remember him in season one. Was he even that bad?

I binged season 1 and I'm now on ep 6 or 7 of season 2. Definitely like this season a lot more. My gf thought the same. The first one was good but this has been great.

Agree on Steve, from pointless douche to one of my favourites. Probably my favourite after Dustin, the kid is hilarious.

Think the sister was the worst character this season. Her and the cokehead brother.
Find her anorexia distracting also.

- Why they have to kill main man Bob like they did Barb?
I loved this season. Starting out, I didn't like how the kids were kind of divided but they brought it all together and it's one of those things that got better as it went. I thought the new characters were really good too

Re: Stranger Things || Netflix
Been waiting for this. I was reluctant at first but everyone was hooked on it so I binged the 2 seasons and its just fantastic. By the looks of it they're going all out in S03, i get great vibes from the final trailer. can't wait

Great as always. Liked it better than season 2. Although the formula is starting to feel repetitive now. Russian Terminator was my favorite character.

Re: Stranger Things || Netflix
Barring some tiresome attempts at product placement and a few teenage cringe moments in the first few episodes, liked it a lot.
Way better than S2 and somewhat on par with S1 I thought.
Dacre Montogomery brilliant as Billy. What a specimen.
Uma Thurman's daughter was impressive too as the new addition.
So was Steve and Dustin and Lucas's kid sister. The nostalgia and the feel good factor this show is able to cater is on a whole different level.

- Spoiler:
- Hope they dont bring back Hopper. It would be lame after the closure and emotion his character managed to get cos of that beautiful letter he wrote. Him now coming back will feel like John Snow coming back lol. Totally empty. Now its perfect. Going out with the bang and everything.

Re: Stranger Things || Netflix
The Hopper character is overall just a terrible and abusive person. And I don’t think the show tackles it at all. They kind of glorifies his abusive tendencies as living too much, when he’s in fact just terrible.
- Spoiler:
- Hope they don’t bring him back, because I can’t stand watching that prick one more episode.

Re: Stranger Things || Netflix
Yea fair point. But isn’t it always like that? I mean alpha males with toxic masculinity always get all the attention. Women always fall for them as compared betas, more so if they can find trivial excuses to pin their bad behaviours upon. (Billy becoming the new favourite character of a lot of women is a cruel reminder of that fact lol) Later they will come to regret it ofc but initially it’s always the alphas who win. Don’t personally have a problem with them showing the way it is irl.
- Spoil.e.r :
- Anyway I like to think they very much wanted to depict Hopper as a flawed character, an unlikely hero, who had to become a hero mostly because, well there wasn’t any better option than him in that little town. I personally dont think it was glorified, his behaviour.
I don’t particularly have a stand on him. He is an interesting character, a much needed elder figure when we become tired of shits like Mike. And I will indeed miss him, if they decide to not bring him back.

Re: Stranger Things || Netflix
Honestly whoever doesnt rate this series and plays it off as just a 'fanfare genre gimmick' is an idiot
It's brilliant. S3 is definitely on par with S1 or even better.
