You guys should just get off Twitter :coffee:

about 75% of the forum's posts revolved around Elon Musk or Kamala Harris these last two weeks

The algorithm is made to farm engagements that's why you see a lot of politics without asking for it, the goal is to trigger users and make them like/comment. I remember also seeing a lot of terrible biased sports takes by people i don't follow, probably for the same reason.

Nothing personal Vibe, it's just that i have no sympathy for people who can't think for themselves and have to resort to getting their talking points from a literal multi-billionaire who has nothing in common with you plebs.

I think I clicked like a hundred times on not interested button, kept getting the same ammount of political shitposts.

What worked is that I went and followed a bunch of accounts within my interests and politics were suddenly gone.

One tweet from Charlie Kirk managed to sneak in though, GTFO Charlie.

What is interesting is that I'm definitely not in favour of the democratic ticket, ann while Elon is supporting Trump, I'm certain I got a lot more democratic than republican propaganda, especially those Kamala wins or Kamala hq accounts.

Dems are probably running a stronger social media campaign than the reps.

That might be the way, i wanted to try that out. I dont really use twitter and have very few accounts I follow, just keep a throwaway account to keep up with footy/stocks news aswell

Its a shame because I felt like the app was much better at filtering your feed not that long ago, noticed it going to shit within the last couple months personally

Same, I deleted twitter years ago, I just follow football and finances on some random account.

F1 and MotoGP as well.

But recently it's been just politics.

Depends on the day, but I get a lot of dem stuff too. The other day my entire feed was Walz signing a bill to provide free meals for children and him roasting jd vance

In comparison on reddit you get only left-wing stuff so its actually not as balanced

Well yeah she's capable of cringe. Big whoop. I do not require candidates I intend to vote for to be effortlessly cool. As long as they can execute the requirements of the job, I don't care how goofy they are.

I used to follow it for a few yrs around late 2000s. Since then Ive always wanted to catch up but not results wise b4 Ive seen the races Razz

You are in for a treat, MotoGP has been great in the last decade. Rossi/Marquez/Lorenzo wars were brilliant in particular, and even though it doesn't have that star power nowadays, the racing is close and hard, I watch every race.

There's a lot of races you can watch on MotoGP's youtube channel, and if you want like EVERY race, then you can pay for MotoGP Video pass, I think it has all races since the '90's.

Trump thinks ABC is biased and Kamala says Fox News is biased.

Seems to me they need to find a non-partisan channel (if that exists at all Laughing

) or at least the journalists/presenters be independent.

I search the channel n found 2 full races for example for 2011, the rest were some rewind highlights I think... I know u said need to pay for all the full races, but being the bum I am so must ask again if u know any other place perhaps to find full races Razz

Fox News are a cesspool of disinformation and Harris isn't the sharpest speaker. She doesn't have Pete Buttigieg's focus and patience when it comes to dealing with hostile networks. It's the smart move on her end.

Once upon a time, PBS would've been considered the non-partisan org to serve as a sort of neutral ground, but Trump has successfully managed to smear even them as partisan, even when they're not.
