Pre-Season 2017

The squad has arrived in Australia.

Fan parties and open training sessions to come before Thursday's game. Should be plenty of pictures and videos to share.

Summary of Wenger's press conference:

-- Lacazette will start on Thursday, and will feature on Saturday
-- Arsenal will begin the season playing three at the back
-- Wenger likes Lemar but wouldn't be drawn on commenting further
-- Said Mbappe has top European clubs to pick from and that Arsenal are one of those clubs
-- Reiterated that Alexis will not be sold

Both of Arsenal's games this week will be played to sold out crowds of 80,000.

Strangely Wenger talked more about Mbappe than Lemar.

Maybe it's one of those "I don't know who Cazorla is" kind of Wenger answers

He's always hush about players we're actually trying to sign, but doesn't shut up about the ones we'll never get

Just curious, I didn't catch the Arsenal games but how would Arsenal line up with 3 in the back and fit everyone in (if players on holiday/injured were present)?

well them only time Mustafi and Kos were both available ,wenger used mustafi central
neither suited for that role imo

Walcott on the left wing

That's Wenger trying to find a place for him, he's truly become our own Rooney without the legendary status.

Except Wenger has shown that he's got no problem with benching Walcott, and that position quite obviously belongs to Alexis.

Walcott will not be a starter for Arsenal next season, and he's a decent backup.

It's only pre-season, so I wouldn't read much into it. He's got to play somewhere after all

Koscielny and Ramsey aren't in the squad at all btw. Lacazette is on the bench.

Passing has been excellent so far. Nelson looks really good.

Theo most of our youngsters are more talented than this clown. Not even good enough to be a squad player.

Going on this performance we've kept the better Willock brother.

Bramall looking good as well.

Joe Willock and Reiss Nelso, both 17 years old

Bramall has impressed me less, looks really raw. Great pace but aside from that, not shown much at all.

Still can't believe how good Nelson is, he will be the breakthrough player this season. Can also see Willock getting games if Ramsey turns to shit again.

Walcott needs to go, i'm close to invading the field to take him out.
